Thanks @Gem-gem, @EnergyShifter @vulpix , I’ve had stress insomnia in the past , but I think this is the good old peri-menopause causing it. 

I’ve been doing 20 mins of yoga about 4 or 5 times a week since beginning of the year,  I shall keep on with that as it helps my flexibility and gets the blood flowing to my achy legs. 

Thanks for the tip off about the guided meditations and audio books and other tablets.  Last night I tried some instrumental meditation type music on YouTube with a timer so it shut down after 45 mins- that plus the Sominex and a cup of warm milk and the bedroom door left open, and not wearing anything in bed,  got me off to sleep before it finished and I had a proper sleep for about 3 hours!! 😀 then had a restless bit but went back off for about 3 hours again- massive improvement! Will try this “sleep cocktail” again tonight, maybe without the tablets. Only want to use them in an emergency. 

Anyway in decluttering news (sorry to go off piste @Mrs_Salad_Dodger 😉) 
I made 2 eBay sales yesterday, after fees it will literally be a few pence for each item,but least it’s 2 more things gone,  they are being rehomed & it gives me a reason  to get out for a walk this morning.

Sympathies with those suffering insomnia.  I am lucky in that I can usually sleep well except when I am worrying about something.  Then I'll end up getting up and doing something on computer for two hours or so at silly o'clock.  Not good if you have got work or things to do the next day.

This should be a quiet week as DiL home with Covid and DS doing school runs.  I only had the eye appointment and now there is nothing that means I need to leave the house for the rest of the week.  I logged in to an on line zoom meeting about comets last night - outside my comfort zone but really interesting and a lot better than the offerings on TV.  I have 2 more zoom meetings this week but more familiar topics.

248 Routine Eye test done at the third attempt - Unfortunately decluttered lots of money as I need new glasses.  Tested myself before I went out and still negative thankfully.
249 Three bags of mixed plastics to supermarket recycling.  Most of the supermarkets seem to be taking the mixed stuff now including crisp and sweet packets
250 Presentation attended
251 Christmas t-shirt to CS bag.  It only cost £2.99 in December but neckline sits all wrong so no point in keeping it for next year. 
252 Found flower pot full of unplanted bulbs.  Put them in beds where there was a space - hope they grow and flower.

So I’m going to return some trousers, I bought them from a sustainable brand as a classic that would last years but I’ve worn them 3 times after getting them turned up, they have bobbled a lot and feel like the fabric is going to wear out quickly in between the tops of the legs after just 3 wears, making them not so sustainable after all.
I’ve been pondering it for a bit, I recently bought some jumpers and a top from the same company and have to return a jumper which as much as I love the colour and the softness of the wool just doesn’t suit me, so I thought I’d chance sending the trousers back at the same time, they are worn but definitely not sustainable if they are bobbling and thinning already. Let’s see how it goes.

• Had to bin a poor Sylvanian baby the dog has chewed the features off, poor little thing.

My best wishes to you and your family, Mrs S-D. It's a difficult time and if the hospice offers any kind of bereavement counselling, it may be worth looking into. Even just having a chat about what is coming might be helpful for any loved ones. 

Just patiently clearing paperwork here. I got a huge 140L paper sack from B&Q, usually for garden waste, and managed to fill it more than 2/3 with shredded old documents. Why I still had insurance papers for a car that was written off in 2007, I will never know.

Not much happening here. We had an extra child for the weekend.
I had to throw quiet a bit from the freezer as I've been saying for a while things didn't seem frozen, the ice cream came straight out etc and I noticed yesterday that the dial had been caught and on 0. A lot of the meats were frozen at the beginning of lockdown so we're more than ready to go but felt bad throwing out so much meat as I'd no idea how long it had been defrosting. Its back to -20 now.
I've sorted through 2 boxes from the unit. 1 was all paperwork that had been sorted at some point before to go and the 2nd box was a huge,  deteriorating box of wii game figures, sorted to right sets and boxed into individual games in smaller, stronger boxes and box recycled.

DH is still at dance with DD2 so attacked a toy box while the girls aren't here. A few bits to one side to look at again in a few weeks but the rest has gone.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed

I did spend Monday watching the Olympics 😉 although I took time out to thoroughly clean the cooker hood - it was very dirty 🤢  Need to do it once a month or so 😔 Dinner was steak (expertly cooked by DH) with oven chips, roasted tomatoes, fried mushrooms & onions & peas 😋 Wudupa.

Tuesday has been another bright, cold day. Sister-in-law is at peace with her decision & her younger daughter has set up a rota so that she always has one or two of her family with her even if she is just sleeping. I have again spent the day watching the Olympics & clearing down more programmes from TV planner. Dinner tonight was spaghetti with Bolognese Sauce (from the freezer) for DH & DSis & I had spaghetti with a tuna in tomato sauce concoction 🙂 Currently watching Dalziel and Pascoe before doing the wudupa.

Well done on both the decluttering & the exercise EnergyShifter 👏 The insomnia conversation is definitely interesting - it seems to me that more & more people are suffering with too much bad news coming at them on a daily basis ☹️

Sounds like you have been very busy for the last six months 👏 I think I might copy you and write a massive To Do list & try crossing off 5 items a day rather than writing a daily list (which I am currently failing to do 😔)  At least you will have the chance to visit Shetland often to visit DD & gradually work your charms on MrV - city boy or no 😉😉
