1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed

Monday is a bright but chilly day. I have a long To Do list but will almost certainly do nothing - after all I have lots of Winter Olympic sports to watch 😉😂

Excellent work on clearing the kitchen ‘hot spot’ Guineapigsqueaks 👏 I have one of those so have added it to my To Do list together with affixing a couple of under cupboard lights (at least a five year old frog 😔) The savings habit is a good one to pass down & your DD is obviously running with it 👏 I will pop round later for a bowl of veggie chilli 😉😉

Liverpool_Anne thank you for such a very kind post 🙂 So sorry to hear about your losses 😢 My DH has just received a message from his sister that her brother-in-law passed away on the 29th January ☹️ I only met him a few times over the years (Christmas mainly) but he was a very nice man & his presence will be missed. Sadly I have to agree that the Covid situation has & is making life emotionally difficult for those left behind 😔

Anyone got any tips for decluttering insomnia?!?! Barely slept the last 2 or 3 weeks, have tried the herbal nytol & last night tried sominex neither had much success . Going to try again tonight . 😫😴

Been carrying on decluttering the last few days but with lots of trips to the TLC carriage to have a little sit down with a cuppa and a book inbetween .

Yesterday we made good inroads on the FROG that is sorting the loft! Still stuff to do , but we made shelves out of materials lurking in the shed & getting stuff up onto them has made a huge difference and really spurred me on to get the rest sorted 😀

I feel for you Donna73, 
I have suffered from periods of insomnia for several years now. Linked with stress / anxiety all premenopausal symptoms. 

The doctor prescribed me Phenergan 25mg - (antihistamine) you can get them from the pharmacy. Please do chat to the pharmacy to see if they are suitable first. 

When my blood pressure went sky high after not sleeping for several day - the hospital (my doctor couldn't see me and I was sent there as my BP was high) they did checks, nothing else was wrong - they prescribed me 5 nights with of diazepam to get my sleep patterns back into rhythm. 

I only take the tablets when I need them. I always try to get off to sleep without them. 

 Try and think of the reasons behind not sleeping. I went to MIND - I now try and not worry about 'what ifs'. Though I know that some of mine is hormonal. 

I have read about - how to fall asleep in five minutes - among other things - try and think of yourself in a boat looking up at the sky! Are your shoulders hunched up. Deep breathing - I try and practise yoga relaxation. Hope this helps.

The puppy is snoring not so quietly next to me, the cats are in, one Grandaughter read to and asleep and one having an extra 5 minutes 🥳
An edayer has just collected a chair from me, he asked if I was disappointed with the price I got, I’m really not, if something gets a second life (third in this case, I thrifted it) I’m happy not to see it go into landfill.
Ive been filling in an old diary with what I spend money on this month and also did most of Jan, I’m really shocked, I had no idea how much I spend on others and the pets. I’m going to complete one more month of listing it all then average it out and try to budget sensibly.

Donna - I feel for you with the insomnia - I've been lucky enough to only have it a few times in my life but found it very distressing.  The only thing I have to add to what others have suggested is from when I had insomnia due to anxiety / overthinking I found listening to a guided meditation helped me drop off & if I woke up in the night I would plug myself in again & it helped me get back to sleep.  On the nights it didn't work enough for me to get a lot of sleep I found that it made me at least feel rested.  There's one that worked particularly well to help me switch off - it's called "Clearing the Field" and is one of the guided meditations in the audiobook - Yoga for Emotional Fow by Stephen Cope.  Good Luck x

 We have lived here 6 months now. Some things have still not found their permanent home. I have spent the day having a sort out in the spare room drawers and my wardrobe. I have earmarked a coat that I think I have only ever worn once. I will see if I wear it in the next few weeks,if not it can go. 

 I am using toiletries and cleaning products up. Not that I think that I have a large stock but I have not needed to buy any replacements yet. 

 There are piles of stuff waiting to go to various new homes. 3 bags for life of donations for the baby charity. A bag of DD2’s clothes.A rug for Dd2. A bag of bits to give to someone at craft club. 

 I am feeling back on par, I have written a massive to do list and have had the satisfaction of crossing off several today. 

 Energy Shifter, would you recommend Kew Gardens? Would it be worth a trip for me?

 donna73 I had dreadful hormonal insomnia,now just occasional stress insomnia. I get respite by doing yoga breathing. Concentrating on the breathing stops you thinking about anything else. 

 Mrs SD , hell yea would I move to Shetland. I would love it. I am a small community girl. Mr V is a city boy though.

I hope it's not too late to start. 
My house is so cluttered, I'm working a couple of evenings this week before alternate days and evenings next week so now seems a good time to start. 

My main thing is baby clothes (he's 7 this year, time to let go of them) and clothes that 'i might fit into again one day' 
Books I love books but never have the time to read.

Stuff. just lots of stuff. Everywhere.
