Vulpix - Kew is lovely to visit - very beautiful and vast. I'd recommend waiting until Spring though because of the weather. Although there are some indoor exhibits (Palm House etc) and it was fairly nice weather for February , we got a bit cold after a couple of hours so didn't make the most of the entrance fee ( a bit pricey in my opinion) . I've been there in Spring in the past and was there most of the day which justified the ticket price.

Evening all. I haven't managed much decluttering recently but I dealt with two frogs today - one of which was massive - so I'll count it as 10 things. That brings me up to 26 items for the year so far. We've decided to move house, so that wiil require a whole other level of decluttering. I've learned my lesson and will not be packing stuff we don't use or need!10

Donna - I feel for you with the insomnia - I've been lucky enough to only have it a few times in my life but found it very distressing. The only thing I have to add to what others have suggested is from when I had insomnia due to anxiety / overthinking I found listening to a guided meditation helped me drop off & if I woke up in the night I would plug myself in again & it helped me get back to sleep. On the nights it didn't work enough for me to get a lot of sleep I found that it made me at least feel rested. There's one that worked particularly well to help me switch off - it's called "Clearing the Field" and is one of the guided meditations in the audiobook - Yoga for Emotional Fow by Stephen Cope. Hi all, I was up and out quite early today as OH had to take the learner car to the garage, the windscreen wipers have gone on strike and apparently the learners have enough trouble steering without having to cope with that
, when I think about some of the sheds I have driven in my youth it makes me wonder how I am still here
I managed some decluttering in the garden today. I had to move my 2 cherry trees in pots so the pointer can get to the wall so I had a general clear up in that area and various bits of detritus went into the bin. A load of washing has been done, all the bins have been emptied and the wheelie put out for tomorrow.. I came across 3 bags of bulbs OH had bought and done nothing with so they have been put into pots in the hope they will survive. Half a bag I just couldn't fit in and were given to my neighbour at coffee o'clock and half of a large bag of compost was used up. It was really quite nice and sunny out today despite the forecast for rain so neighbour and I were out until 4.30 pottering and chatting though I think it will get colder at the end of the week. Sorted a a footy ticket for my friend's son who is keen to get to a game before he has to go back to sea in a couple of weeks. He will be away for 3 months so this was his last opportunity this season. A good day
Take care everyone14 -
@Gem-gem, you have my sympathy, I had several years of insomnia interspersed with whole days of catching up when I was pre menopausal and menopausal. I tried lots of things but never really found anything that worked apart from some cough syrup which states may cause drowsiness. I probably should have gone to the docs but I never seemed to have the time
. What I would say though is it is beneficial if you can get out for a walk either somewhere green like a biggish park or on a beach during the day. Also as others have said try to identify if there is a reason such as stress that is causing it and then try to declutter the stress. If everything fails I would also say don't lie in bed looking at the clock, do something, it might distract you enough to clear the stress from your mind. I did some of my best ironing while being unable to sleep
Take care13 -
