Oh yes vasco, my mum has one of those green stickers too.Mrs SD the garage or shall we say coach house was stuffed with all the Victorian features that were taken out of the huge house when it was “modernised “ in the 60’s. It was kept for just in and has gone full circle in its desirability. I wanted to take so much more as the guy was offering it all for free. I told him to contact a reclamation yard. If I had taken more I would have to store it and ultimately make it into something new which I never even knew I needed in the first place! So many times I have restored or repurposed things and then sold them. I do enjoy making good from rubbish but I have too much to keep me busy here first. It did hurt though to walk away 🤣
DD1 is testing negative every day but is very poorly. It sounds just like I was last month. BF on the other hand is still testing positive and is as fit as a flea. He should be able to go to their leaving party in a couple of weeks. DD is dreading testing positive. She has so much to do to pass her case load onto the new person at work.In exciting news Mr V has been asked to be his school friends best man. They have only been engaged 30 odd years. No need to rush these things. That is in May so I will possibly have to break my no new clothes rule.My nephew who got married last year is having a 30th birthday party. They had to cancel the reception 3 times. It is the same venue. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a blizzard and it is cancelled again 🤣❄️💨☃️Mr V has just been to the tip with the remaining rubble and we are off to a diy store for supplies of paint and door furniture. Exciting times.Vx:12 -
I've decluttered lots of cut-back shrubbery & tree waste via 2 trips to the tip today, along with various bits of metal (tubular steel coat stand anyone? 🤷♀️) and a shed door that was leaning against the back fence. No idea why, the previous owners design sense was "unusual"...😂
The birds are decluttering their new fat balls & sunflower hearts. One reason for sorting the garden was to deter the rat I saw eating the empty sunflower shells, so the undergrowth has all been cut back, bricks knocked into the bottom of fences, the bird feeders are now all squirrel-caged and no seed is put out for them.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Hi all, lots of good decluttering going on
Thursday I managed to get to the dentist to pick up my prescription for the special toothpaste, took a tin of paint to OH house and had a lovely evening with friends, a really good catch up. Yesterday I collected my b12jab and the toothpaste from the chemist and spent some time on texts to ex colleagues who I had heard were ill, nothing really serious but I wanted them to know I was around if they needed anything. I also had a longish conversation with another ex colleague who needed some help sorting out her pension. I managed to sort most of it but I did have to tell her to contact the advisors that the union pay for over a couple of points. She is a lovely lady but sometimes gets a bit flustered about things and basically just needs to chat things through sometimes. Today I have had my jab and discovered I have lost 2.7 kg since my last check, amazed considering we have had Christmas in between. They also took my blood pressure and did a finger !!!!!! test. All good, which was amazing again as they did the bp after sticking needles in me
. This evening I have been to a surprise birthday party for a neighbour and was the taxi driver for 3 other neighbours. Very nice evening and he hadn't a clue
No real decluttering done except food from the freezer and probably none tomorrow either as I am off to the footy
Take care everyone12 -
I've been reading along but not posting. However I am still slowly decluttering. DS and GF came to visit yesterday- lovely surprise, and he went home with two bags of gubbins unearthed while decluttering which he can decide whether he wants to keep or not (because it's his not mine 😊) and the file containing his birth certificate, car registration documents, A level and degree certificates etc. That was a tough one to let go of....but it's done now. And breathe..
More floor in the living room, an empty cubby hole on the TV stand, and the last kitchen worktop slowly appearing are evidence of my industry 😇.
Little by little I'm moving forward.
Man is coming to service the boiler tomorrow- and I only have one small box to move so that he can access that cupboard. That makes life easier 🙂
Still a long way to go but every inch of floor gained is a relief...I mean victory hehe.

Hi all,
I am back at work today. It will be very quiet because of the weather. A lovely walk from the car park. Very bracing.Liverpool Anne please could you tell me the name of the mother and baby unit again? I have Googled but want to make sure I have the right one.Forgive me declutterers for I have sinned. Took DD1’s birthday presents round. Came back with a large framed picture and a massive carved Indian screen. We seem to have items that we share for periods of time. If she ever comes back from Shetland she will have them back. Why would anyone want to come back from Shetland though. 🏴Have a nice Sunday everyone.

Not much happening as I am still trying to declutter a nasty head cold. Tested negative for Covid but DIL had same symptoms and has tested positive. Will keep testing Justin. Her children (the ones I do school runs for) have had heavy colds for weeks but just test negative as well. DS2 has been told to stay at home whilst she is positive so no school runs for me next week as he can do them. Eye test in the morning so will do test when I get up to double check. Nothing in diary next week except evening zoom meetings.
243 Committee updates and papers done
244 banking updated
245 General room tidy throughout - lots of stuff left out after a week of small people
246 DS2 replaced CCTV box(?) as it stopped working. He took the old one away to fiddle with and packaging to recycling
I did buy a small long shallow receptacle which just fits on a high hall shelf to hold umbrella gloves and hat. It is white with a distressed look but exactly the right size and out of sight anyway. They had a slightly nicer grey one but it was double the price. Need to find a few bits to leave as I have made several purchases this week.2025 Decluttering Campaign 682/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟
