Well, my ambitious list is not getting ploughed through 😂 But I am having a productive first day back at work, so that's a good start, and my study has reached the dizzying heights of 16 degrees (with the central heating on (at 17 degrees) since 8.30am, and a little oil filled electric radiator since 9am). Second hot water bottle on my feet has worked wonders, and also made sure I stayed sat down without hopping up for some distraction every 10 mins 🙄😂
Not going to B&Q now, going to have a proper a break for lunch, away from my desk with my book, and go to the shop after work. Sometimes when working at home it's nice to have a 'mock commute'- enforced separation between home and work, so mine can be a trip to B&Q. The excitement! 🙄😂3 -
Oh! Actually popped in to report a spend last night. I've been looking for a new pair of work boots in various charity shops for a while, to replace the ones I accidentally spray painted silver 🙄😂 Obviously they've only been silver since yesterday, but before that they were ever so slightly too tight, so I couldn't wear a pair of socks over my tights, and there was no room for an insole so my feet were always cold.
Found some on 3bay last night 😊😊 Exact replica of a pair I bought from Clark's many years ago and adored so much i also bought an identical second pair from 3bay at the time 😂😂 Both of those are long gone, but they did last a good few years. These ones look to be in good condition, and have been reheeled recently. £47 including postage - not as cheap as a charity shop, but also pretty good for a pair of knee high work boots that I know should last a while 😊😊 And they're beautiful, whereas all the pairs I've had since have just been functional 🥰6 -

Yes, I'm very pleased! I'm hoping they're the same size I had before 🙄 They do half sizes, and obviously they only had one size available, so I suppose we'll find out. I think it's right but at least it'll only be half a size out if not.
Dentist this morning for impressions for my plate thing 🙄 I was meant to be having tooth (and bridge) removed next week and denture fitted, but dentist advised having it done at the hospital - she thinks the root is going into the sinus so I may need a stitch, and there's a chance the tooth may shatter. If I have it at the hospital they can deal with that straight away, but if I have it done at the dentist and it goes wrong, I'll then need to wait for a hospital appointment - leaving me with a big gap for my interview 🙄
I wish the two things weren't coinciding! If it wasn't for that I would have just risked the dentist, but I'm fretting enough about the interview as it is!
I know what will happen though - we'll have all the dentist appointments booked round the interview, and someone will shift the interview back, and I'll end up doing it with gaps anyway 😂
Final 2 Vinted parcels posted, in 2 different places 🙄 I've now amended settings to places that are more easily available to send from!6 -
Ah so sorry re the tooth removal - mid waiting for gaps to be fixed is annoying

No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

If you're going to be in hospital for it anyway could you also ask to be sedated? It doesn't sound like the things that go wrong are really something you'd want to be awake for!"You won't bloom until you're planted" - Graffiti spotted in Newcastle.

Not feeling it at work today 🙄 I didn't sleep well last night (Mr Cheery was away), got up super early to get to the dentist on time, and I'm starting to feel like I'm getting a sore throat/cold 🙄 Very tiresome. Added to that some news at work that doesn't directly affect me but will indirectly have an impact on all of us and will make the next few months probably quite difficult, and I'm very ready for a week off! 🙄😂5 -
