Ha, no, I'm not that committed! 😂
I don't mind when there's an occasional scampering in the loft, but these latest have been rather more bold, scratching around in the walls near the bed, chewing into a bar of dark chocolate in the storecupboard, running under the sofa cushions while we were sitting on the sofa etc 😱 Not standing for that!4 -

Fascinating about the mice Cheery and lovely to think they’ll make a new home together on the moors.
You’ve not had a great run with YG. I think I get to payout every two years, max. I can see why you might not continue.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I don't blame you beanie! I think I had a LONG time of not doing them in the middle, so my experience isn't representative! I imagine when I get a payout I'll feel more like heading for another one 😂
Just had an interesting chat with my sister. I was mentioning about TCB and my super.arket gift card, she said she just bought an fuel card through work with her blue light discount, and it made me remember we have an employee scheme like that too, which I have paid literally NO attention to 🙄
Quick investigation shows many things that I won't use 😂 But also discounted supermarket gift cards, mostly 5% off, which is more than the 2.5% through TCB (although I got more than that on this occasion because of the extra).
So need to do some further investigating there.
Handily they do 7% off national trust ones - I'm taking my mum for a day out using the free MSE pass in a couple of weeks, and said I'd pay for lunch, so I must remember to get us a discounted gift card in advance 😁
I seem to remember they used to do discounted eg dental care, Bupa etc, but I couldn't see any reference to that - maybe it's all been replaced by discounted pizza and the like?! Or maybe I was looking in the wrong place...
Any, more investigating another day...

When you say it's young male mice that travel all I'm thinking is the mousey equivalent of a lads holiday on the plane to Ibiza...
YouGov tends to pay me about once a year, although the surveys pick up in a general election year (even the worst clouds have to have a silver lining) so as long as you're prepared to repeatedly tell them how you voted in the last election and what you think of the various leaders....!Start mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056

Ha, yes, I was thinking of a lads holiday too 😂😂
Ooh, got a bizarre bargain earlier that I forgot to mention earlier. Popped into W@itr0se earlier in town for tofu and a couple of bits we can't get elsewhere here. Over in the bakery ailse, Mr Cheery spots 3 boxes of, of all things, Caneston combi thrush treatment, reduced from £18 to £5.99 😂😂 I confess I snapped up two of them - I have been going through repeated infestations over the last couple of years and while the doc sometimes provides (and has done in the currently ongoing case), sometimes I do end up buying from a shop.
Closer inspection revealed they are best before today, but I'm sure they'll last a bit longer, and sadly I'm sure I'll be able to make use before too long 🙄 Wish I'd bought the last one too - what are the chances of someone else finding it in the bread aisle in the final half hour before closing?? I bet it's in the bin now 🙄
Anyway, bizarre and very apt bargain of the day! 😂6 -
When I used to regularly get thrush the only thing that used to work for me was a tablet (Diflucan I think it was called). I think it's only available on prescription, well it used to be anyway! I found it worked far better than Caneston ever did! Might be worth asking your GP about it.5

You can get packs of fluconazole from ama*on - they come in packs of 3 and last paid £7.99
I keep some in as like you it can tend to be a bother sometimes. You can buy cream on top if needed.
Also like the idea of a little mouse haven on the moors!4 -
Thanks both 😊 I had a spate of fluconazole a couple of years ago from the doc, every day for a few days, then every week, and it did clear it. That's under consideration again if it continues - this current bout is related to antibiotics though. We'll see how it goes. Didn't realise you could get fluconazole online though!
