No, you definitely shouldn't have waited - it's clearly not right and causing you discomfort.
It's good that they'll take note of when you can't answer though - a vast improvement on my surgery who will call whenever (usually am or pm) and then when you can't answer because you're in a meeting and you call back, they try calling you again but can't get through because you're in the queue to the surgery and then you have to grovel for them to call you again! Yes, that is indeed infuriating! This is a new thing here, and greatly appreciated. Mr Cheery once missed one of their calls because he was driving, and then spent the whole day sat in a car park so he didn't miss the next one, very vexing!
In this case though, someone just rang me, and I have an appointment t to see the practice nurse at 7.20 tonight. Who knew they were open so late?! Very grateful anyway (and she didn't tell me I shouldn't have bothered them, of course 😂).
New comfy bra should have arrived by then too so I won't have to wander round without one 😂
Also, I'm speaking at a large event this afternoon (online, thank goodness), and have things to do after that before I finish work, so this will be a nice cut off to stop me working late into the evening. Maybe me and Mr Cheery can nip out for a start-of-the-weekend drink too 😊5 -

Glad to hear they want to see you and can see you today. Making it the start of the weekend sounds like an excellent idea 😊Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

So strange cheery, i had the exact same thing just below my bra line a few weeks ago! I ended up with antibiotics which did clear it up, it wasn't ready for lancing, euch! I think some of my longer line underwired bras rubbed it into existence, I'm going to get some of those fully soft ones instead. Hope your appointment goes well.4

Thanks all, and sorry you had a similar thing scandimore! Urgh indeed (although I do hate antibiotics for their usual consequences for me, so I think I'd prefer lancing! 🙄😂)
Two of my new non-underwired bras arrived today. The more expensive one is definitely going back - it's more like a crop top without adjustable straps, and the straps are too long, which means it irritates the very bit it was meant to avoid.
The other one (which was about £8) will do fine for these purposes, now I've added an bra extender. It needs to be tighter for usual daily life, but right now a bit softer is good. I've sat in it for a couple of hours and while it does touch the affected area, it's not irritating it half as much as an underwire, it's quite gentle. Don't think it's going to become part of my normal bra rotation, nowhere near enough support for that, but for this, it'll do nicely for a few days 😊
Event went well I think! Had another meeting after it and I'm VERY ready to stop now but unfortunately I have to do before Monday (and there's no way I'm working tomorrow). Will need to stop by 6.30 to get ready to go out, so that's a nice cut off.6 -
That's good service from the GP surgery - I'm extremely glad to hear it. Also from purveyors of bras - and if the £8 one gets you out of trouble for a bit then hurrah for that. I will be really interested to hear how you get on with non-wired as you and I have always been similarly minded about appropriate levels of supports from one's underpinnings I think - and that is the very reason why I've never strayed away from wired myself! (People say "oh yes, it's quite supportive!" and I take one look at the photos showing someone with a shelf of boob all squished together and hovering about somewhere just above their midsection and think "Nope -I don't think it is!"

Yes, I'm always impressed with our GP surgery, they're always very good, I'm so grateful.
Yes, I think we are one mind re underpinnings 😂 and I definitely wouldn't describe this bra as 'supportive' 😂 Comfy enough for now though 😊 I'll be going to the pub in it tonight so will report back re walking around 😂 I'll be interested to test the more expensive one that will arrive soon, but at the minute I'm still going back to underwire when I can...4 -
I've always thought of ones without underwires as dealing with modesty, I certainly don't think they help with backache though.

Do you mean ones without underwires are more modest? Or less modest? Sorry, I'd just never thought about them in terms of modesty and can't imagine what you mean! My underwired ones certainly aren't 'push up' and are very substantial 😂
Saw the nurse, she was lovely. I have a cyst 🙄 and prescription for antibiotics, and another prescription to deal with the inevitable thrush that will follow 🙄
Can't actually get hold of medication tonight as apparently our town doesn't have a late night pharmacy - the nearest is 11 miles away, so I'm afraid it will be waiting til the morning!4
