£50 is an aberration due to doing a £29 longitudinal study for two weeks - normally I manage between £20 and £30. I've only got to earn another £6 to hit £50.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Ooh, £29 is a lovely one! I was pleased to get a two part £6 one this month 😂
£28.64 now once it's all cleared. Getting there!
Had more cauliflower cheese soup for lunch - it's definitely improved after a day in the fridge. There were only meant to be two portions but there's quite a bit left after the bowl I had - might make something relatively small for tea later to go with the rest of it.

Loving the POA chat. Mum did hers recently, and we were all very grateful that my Great Aunt had one in place for her finances as well as that made life so much easier when she wasn't able to manage things for herself any more. They are on our list to do as well - although we decided to hold off until after the move and let the dust settle from that as well - it will probably be one for next year I think. As for wills - as you know we are also in the relatively "straightforward" situation of not "needing" them as such. (The house is of course held as Joint Tenants which means we both own all of it - so there is nothing to "leave" to anyone else anyway. if something happens to me then MrEH just continues owning 100% of the house as currently - and vice versa).
I'm still slacking horribly on the surveys front - I must get back into the habit of checking Prolific each morning and evening actually as that will make a difference to picking up stuff there.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I think a house move is quite enough personal admin for one year quite frankly! 😂
Spotted last night that Leeds BS now have an easy access saver at 5% (or is it 5.??%?) That's more than the current 3.5% we're getting, might open one of those. Need to start with £1000 and keep a min balance of £1000 though or it drops to 2% ish, and that level of interest i think only lasts to Jan 24, so I'll leave the other one open with a minimal amount in, in case we need to switch back at that point.
Office today, and Mr Cheery is coming into town with me so no need to either pay for parking or walk at each end (I'm sure the walk would do me good though...)7 -
Evening MSE chums 😊
First of all, a financial report.
Prolific for me - £27.30 with £4.27 to clear
Prolific for Mr Cheery - about £16
1P for me - £18.05
Happy Wheel £40 now, actual positive numbers!
So, 3 days to go. Hoping my prolific will clear at £30 at least, so that'll be £46 between us. HW is anyone's business, not counting that until the final day. Will 1P make payout?? Who knows.

Think you’ll be very lucky to reach payout on 1P at this point, but excellent news about HW!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Yes, I can't imagine £6.90 worth of 1P in 3 days either 😂 That's a lot of surveys, and I'm very busy tomorrow (although then have no plans at all for Friday and Saturday, so...) 😂
Bit of spending tonight 🙄 Having a bit of an issue with some kind of boil/abcess/ingrowing hair type thing, right under my bra line on my ribs 🙄 Going to ring the docs in the morning as it seems to be getting worse rather than better and I even had to remove my bra at work this afternoon 😱😱
Fortunately I was just in my office with 2 other middle aged women, and had a high necked top, forgiving cardigan, and large scarf 😱😱 No meetings, no need to go outside the office, otherwise I would have just coped, but really, it's been quite uncomfortable!
Anyway, turns out I don't possess a single non-underwired bra 🙄 and I have no intention if going about my daily business not wearing one for as long as this takes to sort out 🙄 So I've ordered a couple that will be delivered tomorrow, and a better quality one that will likely fit much better but may not arrive til after the weekend. Will send back anything I don't need, but this felt rather like a minor 'emergency' situation, and I am, as ever, grateful to be in a position where that kind of spend (about £70 in total, including 2 lots of swift postage) won't break the bank. Planning to send back at least one of the two that are coming tomorrow so that'll be a bit of a refund, and by the time the other one arrives I might be fine anyway!
Anyway, tired and fed up now, time for bed...6 -
Ouch Cheery, that doesn’t sound nice at all! Definitely a worthwhile spend, and as you say, hopefully two can go back. Hope you manage to see a doc and they can get it sorted.
IIRC, there’s nothing from 1P at weekends, so that only leaves tomorrow (she says, working this out as she types…. Where did September go?!)Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Thanks Vix. That's interesting, I never noticed 1P didn't do weekends! 😂

Right, I rang the docs, and am on the list waiting for a call from the on call doc. Any time before 6.30, but of course I'm out of action for several hours at an event today - I can skive some, but I'm a speaker for some of it so can't dip out of that. Hey ho. Had to fill in a form saying what my issue was and when I wasn't available - that's a new one for our practice I think.
Anyway, we'll see if/when they ring and what they say. As usual when I do this, I immediately feel guilty and like I shouldn't have bothered them and just waited 2 weeks for a routine appointment instead 🙄 But it's done now.5
