I stopped using underwire ones a few years ago as I found even good quality ones were having the underwire poke through after just one or two washes!
I was worried as I'm a bit generous in the front and thought I might miss the support, but my size tends to have less of a dip between the cups which I think helps. I'm currently in nursing bras that aren't wired and they've been very comfy, so I might just stick with them even when Baby Boy is solely on the formula XD The nursing ones are slightly padded so perhaps that might help with keeping things under control!"You won't bloom until you're planted" - Graffiti spotted in Newcastle.

Maybe - I've not worn one without moulded cups for several years either!
(And it's just occurred to me that badmemory, you were maybe just referring to non-underwired ones having a primary function of 'covering one's modesty'?)
Good job there are so many different types so we can all find one that suits!4 -
I just meant that without the underwire they just cover your modesty rather than perform any real use, as in uplift.I too always used to get thrush with antibiotics. Luckily I don't seem to now as I'm too old to have the meds. Last time I had to talk my friends daughter into getting them for me. Don't tell anyone but I still have a spare just in case.3

Glad thats all sorted and hopefully the meds will kick in soon. ..
I have a couple training/gym bras with no underwiring which at certain times of the month i have slept in as they squash but less spilling over... they are comfy but always need more support in day to day..
DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Someone suggested a sports bra at work the other day, and I confess I snorted with laughter - mine is far more heavily scaffolded than a normal one and quite unsuitable 😂
Mr Cheery's still not right, so I'm going to go and get my prescription and take myself off to the cafe for some plotting and scheming for the final quarter of the year 😱4 -
I had to bypass the bra discussion, I confess I only wear one with certain tops, or one of the two dresses I own
The final quarter of the year! That's why I had to post. OMG! And it starts on Sunday. Okay, challenge (not that you gave one) accepted 🤗2023: the year I get to buy a car5 -
I do envy people who can get away without one! 😊
Cafe done, and it was very nice indeed 😊 Other bra has arrived, and I think I'll keep it- it's definitely better quality than the one I was wearing yesterday, more support, better shape, and far more comfortable. Not as much support as I prefer for normal life running about, but definitely a good option for now and future moments that need more comfort!
The second of yesterday's can go back, so that'll be £21 refunded.
Prescription picked up, and I got the nice chemist rather than the miserable one, so she offered to do my other prescription (that was sent through straight from the docs) on the spot, rather than me having to go back in a couple of days. Miserable lady regularly refuses this, eg if I pick up mine and ask if Mr Cheery's is ready. We've had several occasions when he's then had a text an hour later when they've done it - but by that point we've got home again.
Going to stop having them sent directly to the chemist i think - it was originally more convenient, but now they give themselves 7 days to process after receiving it from the docs, it is absolutely NOT. Better to collect from the docs then get fulfilled instantly in any chemist!
Money wise - Edinburgh mentioned on his thread that TCB had an extra £2 cashback today, and he'd bought a supermarket voucher. I'd always filed cashback as 'mostly too hard' (although I have done it occasionally) but did that very quickly this morning - £100 supermarket voucher bought and £4.50 cashback already tracked. And I used the credit card so an extra 1% or something there too.
Also noticed they have a supermarket fuel card at 2.5% cashback as well - that's probably also worth doing (with the additional credit card) as that's usually the cheapest place in town for fuel so I try to use it if I can.
Not massive savings, but £3.50 off £100 is not to be sniffed at!6 -
Another thing to ponder. We've been considering visiting our friends in Berlin, and were thinking we might go before Christmas. However, we checked today and Mr Cheery's passport has run out. Friends are going away 9th Dec til January, so if we DID go before Christmas, we'd have to fast track the passport, which would cost £155 (ish) rather than £82.50, plus a trip to either Liverpool or Birmingham (although we have friends near both passport offices, so could combine with a visit to them anyway).
Worth pondering.
Washing on the line, and it's both sunny and breezy so I imagine it won't take long to dry 😊5 -
