Morning chums 😊
Gosh, I just CANNOT get my act together today! Mr Cheery woke me up twice in the night to inform me that I was snoring 🙄 and that he didn't know what to do about it 🙄 Clearly he was half asleep as normally he'd just go and sleep somewhere else, but I ended up on the sofa myself 🙄
Haven't really got going yet! Read emails but not acted on any, and certainly not done anything that I'd planned to do - annoying as this is the main empty day this week 😠
Need a reset I think - I'll try a cup of tea on the swing, and then coming back in as if it's first thing, rather than berating myself for not having started yet - that never works anyway... 🙄6 -
I hope your reset works Cheery. I'm having a positive and productive morning, but I'm pretty sure I spent all of last week needing a reset, so I feel your pain!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

We have a solid deal with snoring - it starts with a gentle shove from a foot, progresses to a slight less gentle nudge from a knee, and moves on to a "you're waking up now" elbow to the ribs if required. That last is usually accompanied by a hissed "Turn OVER! You're SNORING!"
Also hoping the reset has worked for you - it really can work to "start a thing again" sometimes can't it - whether it's a working day or a night's sleep!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Well I did get a few necessary things done, but sadly most of the working day was rather a write off. Still, usually those days are often followed by productive ones - fingers crossed!
Nice evening though - went to a lecture by someone I knew, introduced Mr Cheery to several people from work, and we bumped into someone we know from outside work too. Then out for a meal and to the pub with another couple of friends.
So a third night in a row of getting home after midnight 😱 Oh dear! And a fourth day of eating out in one form or another 🙄 It's been lovely and sociable few days, but I'm very much feeling in need of some normality now!
Working at home today, it's raining, I've got leftover curry in the fridge, although desperately craving salad so we'll see 😂
Not planning on going anywhere or spending anything today! Mr Cheery has a meeting though, so may come back via the supermarket shopping (fingers crossed...)9 -
Re snoring - in our house it goes:
me to DH "you're snoring!"
DH (still asleep) "I know"
It's like a Pavlovian response now. He doesn't even wake up to say it!
Sounds like you had a lovely evening, even if it was a bit late. It's raining here too but I do have to go out for a meetingHope you get everything done you need to

😂 usually if he's snoring an elbow sorts it out - I'm a heavy sleeper anyway.
I often get told to turn over because he can hear me breathing 🙄 So snoring apparently warrants waking up after all else has failed. I slept in the spare room last night as I really needed a good kip, and am delighted to say I had one 😁
Today is marginally better than yesterday. Had a couple of people say yes to a couple of things, which is great 😊6 -
I just love all the snoring convos LOL
In our house it goes something like this...
She - Stop snoring I can't sleep
He - I'm not snoring
She - Well then stop breathing my air and turn over
He - I'm not breathing your air I'm breathing mine
She - picks up pillow and goes to the other end of the bed
He - What are you doing? Put your head back up here where it belongs.
She - Fine - then stop breathing my air
He - Fine - turns over and faces the other direction & falls back to sleeping/snoring in about 2 minutes flat
...an hour of solid snoring later...
He - What are you doing up reading? The light is keeping me awake

RT that made me LITERALLY LOL!!! Especially the other end of the bed bit - no way I'm doing that mind, not getting that close to stinky boy-feet!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Ha! 😂😂😂 No, I wouldn't be at the other end of the bed either! Fortunately we have a single day bed in my craft room which I keep clear and with bedding on - it's actually very comfy so it's not a hardship for either of us to shift to it quickly. This is working as a good solution!
Another 2 emails of people saying yes to things (well, one yes, and one interesting invitation which I've said a provisional yes too) - on a roll today!
Still don't have a draft of my funding bid though... which is the one thing I do actually NEED to do this week...7 -
