Haha - getting dressed can sometimes be highly optional! - if I wasn't going for physio, I'd have chosen to stay in my tank top and pj bottoms - honestly it's the coolest thing I own that is not a work outfit!
At the moment I'm contemplating a shower & getting into some yoga gear, after having had and early morning session of eating the 'annoying admin' frogs, which included contacting a certain probiotic chocolate company that is going out of business and has messed up my order in three seperate ways! - First their super duper 70% off code did not work so I had to send a request for a refund or to have the order cancelled, then their next day delivery turned into next week delivery as they were overwelmed with orders & now that my order is finally here, only 4 of the 6 packs arrived! Cheap chocolate is ending up costing me in time! When I work out my hourly rate for extra 'work' they technically own me - LOL - I'd have been better off ordering it at full price from one of their suppliers!!!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)New projection - 14 YEARS 10 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 15 mths)Psst...I may have started a diary!6 -
Oh that's annoying RT! Hope it got sorted in the end 🙄
We have had a lovely day 😊😊 Spent a couple of hours dithering over an email I had to send for work 🙄 then a quick uneventful trip to the docs, and then met my sister in town 😊 Had lunch, then sat in the shade in the park for a while 😊 Mr Cheery joined us, had a very quick charity shop mooch, and then trekked to our favourite cafe, where we got the lovely manager to witness my sister signing my power of attorney form 😂 So good multi tasking there 😁
Dropped her back at the station and now on the swing seat in the shade, watching the last of the sunshine lighting up the other side of the valley, with a nice cup of tea 😊😊😊
Not super money saving - I paid for lunch and a round of coffee so about £25, all in but very much worth it for a nice day out 😊
No plans for tonight other than making something wholesome to eat and maybe having another shower 😂 And no real plans for tomorrow, although there might need to be a boring supermarket trip at some point as we don't have much milk, and are down to our last loo roll, and have no fruit - all things which could have been rectified in town today if we hadn't been so focused on having a nice time 😂 Still, I'll do a meal plan for next week and stock up, no harm done.
Sunday we're off for lunch with Mr Cheery's family, and then going straight to a band rehearsal for him rather than coming home and him going back out again. A bit tiresome as it will it make it a longer day than necessary for me, but it'll mean we can share the driving, and can stay more than a couple of hours at the family gathering.
Right, this cuppa isn't going to drink itself 😁7 -
Oh, and money-related things for over the weekend, in no particular order
* send final email to Boots about stupid cooker. I've been putting it off, but I just want the whole thing over and done with now 🙄
* pay stupid parking fine 🙄 Dont think I'm even going to quibble - there are literally no grounds, it's entirely my own fault, and I want to pay it quickly before it doubles in price 🙄
* dig out Mr Cheery's HMRC letters. How long has this been on the list?! 🙄
* fill up both cars, and get some petrol for the strimmer too
* meal plan for next week
And other stuff to do
* scything! This has taken a back burner in this heat but I need to ramp up again before the weather turns and it doesn't get done 🙄
* check banks
* get shelves up (or at least started!) in the study
* get some more big washing done while the weather is nice
* put the giant pile of done washing away
* make more washing liquid
That'll probably do 😂6 -
Today sounds idyllic, Cheery, how lovely. And just thinking about the jobs - there's a lot of "big washing while the weather's nice" going on, for me as well as the rest of the country, from the sound of it
enjoy what you can!

Definitely a good time for washing big things! Although we have potential storms tomorrow, so I'll have to keep an eye out...
Just done the second part of a Prolific study I started the other day, so standing at £6.52 with £6.25 waiting to clear, not too bad.
1P has been rather quiet for me after my initial flurry 🙄 Got screened out of 5 in a row yesterday!
Happy wheel is being a menace, down £4.59 today, and down £30 overall for September 🙄
Mr Cheery's phone finally died - in fairness it's one I replaced a couple of years ago, and it was second hand when I bought it, so it's had a good run 😂 But the microphone went, making it impossible to make a phone call, and there were already several reasons why I'd found it too annoying and replaced it, so he's had a new one.
Well, not new - reconditioned from BackMarket, so thank you to whoever recommended that when my laptop needed replacing a while back - was it @themadvix ? Ordered about 11pm on Wednesday night and it arrived today, pretty good! He's happy with it so far, and at £65 it didn't break the bank either 😊7 -
Good bargain on the phone for Mr C there - and I absolutely agree that £25 is excellent value for a day spending time with people you love being with.Sounds very sensible to not be scything in the temperatures of the past few days too - I cycled in to town and back yesterday, under 2 miles each way but I was absolutely roasting by the time I got home!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Thanks both 😊 I did get out there and do a bit last night, once it got to about 7.30 - by the time I got to the end of the row it was pretty dark 😂 That's the end of row 10 though! Will aim for a bit more tonight.
Lazy one this morning, only just got up and remembered of course about having no milk 🙄 Going to keep it simple and nip to the village shop - yes, we need a supermarket shop, but I don't want to do that without a meal plan and a cup of tea so that's a job for later!4 -
I've got the sofa cushion covers in the washing machine this morning too! Two on the line, two still in the machine, and we're off out in a bit - going to leave them out and risk the possible thunderstorms... 🙈7
