Right, money
1P, nothing today, 30p in Sept, standing at £10.65 I think
HW, down £7.42 today, so down £17 for September
Prolific, nothing today, £3.02 waiting to clear.
So not exactly doing great today 😂
Potential things to do tomorrow
* change sheets (might do this tonight)
* clean kitchen
* hoover through
* scything - finish row 10, and hopefully 11 (but this will depend how stiff I am)
* sort through seeds and see if anything wants sowing now
* weed inside greenhouse - it's a bit of a thistle forest in there 😂
* make laundry liquid - last lot was July 2022 and it's only just running out now 😊
* prep for work trip on Monday - need to check train times and make food
* bit of batch cooking (but I want to prioritise being outside in the nice weather)
* blog post
* maybe video editing (but again, will prioritise outside and only do this in the evening)
* put petrol can in the car to get some petrol for the strimmer next time I'm out
* more stone cleaning
* retrieve bucket rendering guy left behind
That'll probably do, likely won't get all that done but gives me some things to aim for!

Morning MSE chums! 😊
Well, I'll just say that it's a good job our bath has handles 🙄 My back is still objecting to yesterday's exertions, and while I can do light pottering, it's not going to be a day of heavy gardening as I'd planned 🙄
Still, I am dosed up on painkillers (which have so far made no appreciable difference) and have put some washing on - trying to get through both sets of visitor bedding today. Washing up is done and kitchen cleaned. Mr Cheery has gone to his dad's so he won't be back til mid evening, and I am now ensconced in the sunshine on my swing seat with a cup of tea and a pile of books and notebooks 😊
It's very warm! Absolutely lovely, and I am trying not to be TOO vexed that after 8 weeks of either short weeks or no work at all, where the weather has been middling at best and often raining, we now have a heatwave forecast during my first proper week back at work, and when I have to spent the best part of 8 hours tomorrow travelling 🙄
Still, let's stay in the here and now, and ignore the back pain and assorted other ailments. I am outside in the sunshine, all I can here is the breeze in the trees and the birds, and I have nowhere to be and nobody to please but myself 😊😊 And thanks to excessive catering for visitors, I have all meals and snacks already prepared for the day 😊😊 and this is my current view 😊😊😊
Can't complain really 😊😊17 -
Cheery, what a lovely view! Sorry about the strain from moving the bath, but glad to hear you're taking care of yourself, that sounds like a great day to me.2023: the year I get to buy a car3

I wouldn't move too far from that lovely spot today. The timing of the weather isn't the best but definitely need to make the most of it.Hope the back pain eases for you too.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!3

Thanks both 😊 KC, I wasn't moving the bath - I was IN the bath trying to get out! 😂 I overdid it yesterday, running for the first time in ages - had a nice bath to ease my muscles but it didn't work, and I had to hoist myself out (fortunately didn't get to the stage where I had to enlist Mr Cheery for help, although it might have done if I hadn't had the handles!) 🙄😂
Brought yesterday's washing in, all smelling lovely 😊 First lit of today's washing has 5mins left (which in washing machine speak is about 15 mins 😂), and I've got the final load ready to go straight in 😊
And I've dug out my floppy hat and found a box of ice pops in the back of the freezer 😁1 -
Cheery, once that washing is out, plant yourself and enjoy the sunshine and the view - Sunday is a day or rest after all!!!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Oh I am, don't worry 😊 Can't stay completely still today though or else I'll seize up even more, and I need to be able to get on a train tomorrow!6
-
Well, I have been having the most lovely day 😊😊😊 three loads of washing piled up on the dining table 🙄😂 and I've put a blanket in the wash too - might as well start giving them all a good wash and airing before the winter as they won't be getting washed then 😂
Did a lot of sitting about on the swing, and some lying around in a field too 😁 remembered to go and pick some blackberries- I've gradually got a bit more mobile through the afternoon so was happy enough pottering down the field through the long grass 😊
Mr Cheery will be back in an hour or so, so here's a little mini list before then
PREP FOR TOMORROW
* ring person I'm visiting tomorrow - thus is a work call and I wouldn't usually do that on Sunday night, but I forgot on Friday, and am getting on a train to the other side of London at 8.30 tomorrow so I need to know they've remembered I'm coming!
* check train tickets and times
* pack bag
* find red sandals
* decide what to wear!
LAUNDRY MOUNTAIN
* change our bed
* put sofa bed away
* put sheets back on spare bed (maybe, might leave that one for another day depending how my back is holding up)
FOOD
* eat tea
* pack breakfast, lunch, and snacks
Might not get ALL that done in the next hour 😂 but I've got more chance if I get off here!7 -
Glad the aches are loosening up a bit. Sounds like you needs that gentle day 😊
