Glad you got it cheaper in the end Staffordia!
Back in the office this week, an unexpected 3 days this week. Bit of a nuisance as I didn't have a parking permit for today, and then Mr Cheery decided to come with me as a friend has kindly lent us their van for the weekend, so he's going to pick that up. Of course that means I've ended up leaving the car half an hour's walk from work so I'll have to get it later, but at least it was free and the exercise will do me good.
Had an email about the car insurance renewal, but I can only see the price for one car. We supposedly have a joint policy, but it's not, it's actually two separate ones 🙄 Renewal for one is £200 though, which seems comparable to last year roughly. Car insurance pot has £400 in, so if the other is roughly the same we'll stick I think. Not had it much cheaper since we've had 2 cars (I didn't have my own NCB the first year we got the second one, so the insurance for that one was £700 I think - more than the car cost! 😮😂 Fortunately it's come down now!)13 -
That's all sounding pretty good on the insurance front then Cheery - I'm sure I remember you measuring trees too!

Afternoon chums.
An awful time here - we have lost Bunty chicken. Dreadful situation, she shouldn't even have been out, but she was, and now she's gone. Looked everywhere, but they have a really strong homing instinct and ALWAYS come back for bed, unless they can't. So either somethings grabbed her, which seems unlikely as the others were fine and not agitated at all, or she's felt poorly, hidden away somewhere to try and lay, and not felt well enough to come back out before dark. In which case either she'll have not made it through the cold night, or something will have found her in the night.
We'll keep leaving food out and checking the usual places, but it's seeming very unlikely we'll ever know at this point 😕😕
In MSE news, we did get the chair, and it only cost £10. Also picked up various bits of charity shop bedding so we can wash and change when we visit Mr Cheery's dad.
Doesn't feel like much to be pleased about at this point though 😕14 -
