Will it be a shock to the system going in so many days on the trot? It would be for me. I am debating going in tomorrow but as much for social as anything else.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Don't give me too many pats on the back- I haven't done everything and I'm stopping now to watch a film 😂😂
Have got most of the food prep done and got ready for tomorrow so that's the main thing. Bit of MB - made £4.24 so starting to claw back the massive downswing from yesterday.
Not done banks though, or paid the plumber 🙄 that'll have to wait til tomorrow now - which is payday so I can do all the shuffling together.
Oh! I know what else is exciting - remember our bit of extra staff bonus coming in tomorrow's pay? It's pro rata, so I thought I'd get 80%, but it actually goes in steps, and if you're 80% contract you get 100% of the bonus 😁 So that's £250 rather than £200 😁19 -

Cheerful indeed, although I've just looked at the pay slip and it's pre-tax/pension/NI so actual extra amount in my pocket is £190.20 - better than it would have been if I hadn't got the whole thing though!13

Crikey, that was a long day! 😮 Left at 7am, and Mr Cheery decided he was coming with me, which meant I had to stay at work til he'd finished his activities, so we didn't get home til almost 9pm 😮 Got lots of work done though!
Didn't do much this evening, but I did check banks/YNAB. All fine. Payday, and this month's allocations still look healthy so I sent all of it to next month, and filled all the pots there. Will have to do a bit of rejigging as there will likely be some more spends for Mr Cheery's dad so I need to decide which pot they're coming from.
Pleased to say I've not touched the £600 savings I put aside at the start of Jan, and all being well, I should be able to do the same for Feb when Mr Cheery's pension is paid at the end of this month.
In terms of extra income, with today's work bonus, we're standing at £242.
Not quite decided what I'll do with this extra saving/income yet. I mean, I'll be putting it in the Premium Bonds, of course! Hmm, must check the dates - it would make sense to do that before the end of the month so it goes in the draw earlier rather than later- must check the cut off.
But which pot to allocate it to? I have various longer term pots so might just distribute between them. Not got anything in the new car fund at the minute (but we've replaced both in the last couple of years so touch wood should be ok). Kitchen, short term house emergency, general house maintenance etc are all where I'd like them to be.
It's the longer term pots that need replenishing, probably starting with having enough to cover 6 months of outgoings. In reality, we'll always have Mr Cheery's pension income now, and I'll get decent redundancy pay, and 6 months full, 6 months half sick pay. I suppose the main calamities would be either if he dies or I'm sacked 😮😮 Will try not to b, at least until that pot is built back up! 😮😂
Also paid the plumber while I was messing about in the bank so one less thing to think about. And kitchen geezer says he'll try to get granite geezer to come over next Monday.
Getting there!15
