Thank you all xxxx We are devastated, and Mr Cheery is riddled with guilt. There's nothing else to be done now of course, and I suspect, short of some kind of miracle, we'll never see her again or know what happened. So sad. We'll give it another couple of days, then have a little ceremony in the memorial windbreak, like we would usually do when one died.
In MSE news, just been mindlessly doing a bit of MB, and have made £100.30 tonight. Going to stop there - there's more I could do but that feels like a satisfying amount and it'll likely only go down. Still at minus £165 for the month after paying for the two annual memberships, but that's better than minus £265!
Prolific sitting at £4.58 - going to see if I can get it to £10 by the end of the month.
Nothing else to report. I forgot (again) to ring to extend the guarantee of the fridge - I suspect we've now passed the 90 day window but they're not open at weekends and I keep forgetting. I tried checking the car insurance policy, but only one of them seems to be attached to my online account for some baffling reason, and I'm not digging out the old paperwork when the new stuff is already on its way in the post.
Oh, and I also forgot to ring the power company to see if they'll send a new cheque, as I just can't find the old one anywhere. What on earth did I do with it? Either I've chucked it in the recycling, or it's in a pile somewhere and I'll find it in 6 months. Hey ho.
Time for another cuppa I think. Face aches after having my tooth out the other day - nothing worrying, just general healing I think but it's a bit draining.
Meeting a friend for a cuppa tomorrow in a local market town which will be nice. Of course that means spending some of the treats budget but since it's the first lot this month (everything else has been vouchers) it's not toooooo bad!15 -

Thank you all xxx Still no sign this morning. There's a very outside chance she's gone broody and holed up somewhere, but we've looked everywhere we can, and there's not much in the way of vegetation around at the minute to hide in. We'll let the farm neighbours know in case they spot her while out and about ( they're over half a mile away so I can't imagine she'll have made it over there when she's never been beyond the top of the drive but they might at least spot feathers in a field or something) 😕
Anyway. Going to head to the gym now. We're meeting a friend at 11 for a cuppa (and maybe lunch). I need to get some more late Christmas presents ahead of next week's visit (and also need to check the second person will be in!)
What else?
* make cous cous salad for lunches - this is working well making a big batch at the weekend and just eating it over a few days. Ah- I might have some cooked cous cous in the fridge, must use that first!
* make pasta to use up the tomato sauce in the fridge
* paint the bedroom ceiling! Would love to get this done but it might depend on daylight (or I could skip the gym and do it now... 🙄)
* do some washing and hang up later
* make sure clothes are ready for work on Monday
* pack van ready for trip to Mr Cheery's dad tomorrow
That'll probably do i think.11 -
Good morning Cheery,
Also sorry to hear about Bunty - as others have said its the not knowing that is the worst. Hope the little ceremony you do for her brings some comfort for you.
Re the tooth socket - soluble aspirin (whilst tasting absolutely vile!) is very effective for localised tooth ache like that, if you need it. You can spit it out afterwards if you can't tolerate it too well.
I have much washing to do today as well, but rather than the gym I'm off to the local garden centre to buy seed potatoes and sweet pea seeds
