Hereford today. 2 new (at least to me) charity shops have opened. One in aid of Star College and another for some sort of wildlife trust.
The latter (Church Street, by Capuchin Yard) is new and quite posh and I bought a pair of dark pink Seasalt cord trousers for £6.5 -
which immediately brought back to mind the line Katharine Hepburn mutters in Philidelphia Story "not dead sir, but wounded!" I am so glad I bought my new waterproof anorak with me this week, it's been raining like mad and this is just the thing to keep my top half dry. I am impressed that it has an inner and outer zip and with the size it is I can wear a suit jacket underneath it without feeling in the slightest bit constrained.No man is worth crawling on this earth.

I have been resisting the boxes of yarn that have turned up all of a sudden in various local charity shops after months when it was hard to find. Today I gave in to two crochet hooks in Herriot Hospice, Northallerton, at 50p a go. I didn't think I have those sizes and they don't take up much space... then I found I already had them. Perhaps I need a note on my phone with all my knitting needle and crochet hook sizes.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
