I have upgraded my modern Mason Cash mixing bowl to an older, heavier, larger, better quality…….Mason Cash mixing bowl! The difference in quality is quite surprising! My original bowl will be off to charity to do someone else a good turn. Also found some ice cube trays which will be handy for freezing herbs in.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Newer stuff is worse for you too - this is definitely A Thing.I'm unsure about my spine, I think it's holding me back.4

My name is Pollycat...
and I'm a coat-a-holic. 🤒.
I bought this teddy coat on Thursday, the 3rd coat this week.😱
It's lovely, unworn and cost £10 (originally New Look so around £50).
In my defence, I have sold a Per Una wool coat and a padded jacket on eBay and am taking another coat to the hospice shop.11 -

Regulars on this thread will not be surprised to hear that I'd wear it with opaques and Doc Marts.7 -
Is that your go-to? Opaques and DM's? Mines is thin/thick (weather dependent) tights and flats or bootsI'm unsure about my spine, I think it's holding me back.5

I have (shockingly) 21 pairs of boots, 3 pairs of shoes and 5 pairs of sandals. All DMs.
I also have lots of trainers and flat boots.
That's my look really. Shortish dresses or leggings.
I embraced the summer look of dresses and trainers.
I've been wearing DMs for the last 50+ years.5 -

On the other hand I think I've got about a dozen scarves that would look lovely with that and I don't think that's a problem. And no I'm not giving you any of them.
And thinking about quality in general....my biggest issue (other than my fat backside) is the fact that clothing in larger sizes is made from dreadful fabric and is rarely flattering or well made. Which is why I stock up when I go to Canada. I didn't get a lot of time to really shop properly but did make it to my old favourite shop (the delightfully fat shop named "Addition-elle"). All of the trousers there seemed to be priced at $79.99. To which being in Ontario you have to add 13% tax currently. So $90.40 which equals about £60. Which I would never pay for trousers unless they were spectacular. But they did have 2 pairs of jeans which had about 3 layers of discounting before they hit the 50% off rack. So £20 for 2 pairs. And they're cotton. And they fit. And they're dark gray. Bit of a weird non hemmed finish on the legs but I think they are meant to be tucked into boots which I might manage to do. Also a nice bottle green winter weight fleece for about £12. So that was nice.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. That reminds me. I also took a photo of the scarves. There was nothing startling there I don’t think, but I liked the robin ones (bottom left corner). So here you go - a bit of scarf p0rn for ya Brie.I'm unsure about my spine, I think it's holding me back.3

I nipped into 2 chazzers yesterday, and came out with nothing but the knowledge the merchandise was completely overpriced. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.4 -
I was really shocked by the high prices I saw yesterday - BHF in particular, where they were asking £8 each for T-shirts which probably hadn’t cost that much new. I walked away. I was also surprised to find that four of my previously favourite chazzers had closed down.
I bought a couple of books (BOGOF) for £2 from a local hospice shop - a pictorial history of the Spitfire for Mr CJ who is interested in such things, and a book about the NC500 which we are planning to do in the spring.5
