Hmmm, have now spent £119.01/£150 with two and a half weeks to go. Stocks are good and meal plan done but even so, I can't see me making it! I think my budget might have been too ambitious..

Aldi shop today, spent £58.94. That includes fresh fruit, veg, dairy, chicken, loo and kitchen rolls amongst other stuff. Hopefully that should do us until payday, the freezer is still heaving and we’ve plenty of treats leftover from Christmas ☺️January grocery challenge £96.46/£1005

Shopped at various places today to keep costs right down and managed to spend £16.79 altogether, and it should last me about 10 days, I have enough bread but may need some more milk or fruit before then or I may just be very careful with them! Cupboards and freezer are full and I have found a few more Xmas bits for treats!

MissRikkiC said:Still wading through the 2kg of sour cream picked up from Olio last week, having had stroganoff, fajitas, chili, nachos and adding it to literally everything I can think of, the tub still looks untouched 😂 currently eating it on top of freezer surprise (some type of curry!) and not sure if I will ever see the bottom of the tub. just hi all,
thank you so much for letting me join this site. I am much more motivated having put my plan down and sharing with you all.
today I have used up some freezer stuff that I am afraid to say might have been thrown out other wise!
using 2 x500g packs of fresh mince ( reduced to £2.50 each for tesco club card users), a tin of beans and a jar of red lasagne sauce. Oh yes and a single beef burger that has been in the freezer a while. I have made 3 lasagnes, one shepherds pie and savoury rice. That’s 5 for the 2 of us for about £7.Very pleased with my mornings work.
thanks again for letting me join. I am being much more careful with every penny now. It seems if you tighten up in one area it helps me think about others too.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,
