70p at Mr T this morning to pick up fresh rolls for the lunch boxes. I don’t like buying them all at the start of the week if I’m honest as I think they go a bit stale. The family don’t complain tho.
Have to check my
menu Planner for our tea… we’ve had Sunday roast and then another on Monday…. Chicken lasted nicely. Served 8 over 2 days with no skimping on portions and none left last night. Will update signature later when I’ve got my iPadGrocery spends £193.44/ £70 per week or £303 per month6 -

I would like to join please for 2022 in order to keep myself accountable and hopefully gradually decrease my costs. Saving money on food has not been my strongest suit in the past!
I won't set a budget for January as we are half way through the month but will keep a note of everything I spend to help set February's budget.

£16.15 added, from some bits (Fruit juice, cream, Brie) I bought at the Co-0p on Saturday, and OH's raid on W8rose this afternoon, where he evidently bought a little bit more than sliced bread & milk! (Probably some rolls & biscuits to take into work if he has to go down there tomorrow.)Angie - GC Aug25: £207.73/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)7

I’ve already spent £229.15 of our £540 budget this month 😬 I’ve made a spreadsheet and I think writing down every spend really helps, it’s definitely making me think before buying, I’m hoping I get better at this as the months go onDebt was £15,903 😬 Now £2718.14 £0 😲🥳7

More milk! That's 28 pints so far this year, plus some that was left from Christmas. Also went to Sainsbury's this morning to spend my nectar points. It's ten miles away in a direction we rarely travel. Spent £17.41 but £15 was points so really £2.41. Total for the year so far now stands at £14.75/£2640.Frugal Living Challenge 2025.8

Been to the food hub this morning so no money spent, they had very little fruit and veg but did get some courgettes (already on the stove simmering as courgette and potato soup), a few spring onions and a box of blueberries, plus some cereal, and a few other bits and pieces. I forgot to get bread so will go to the community pantry tomorrow, it's been shut since before Xmas but I'm hoping it'll be open! If my dgd will have to content with bridge rolls.

Bought a few bits on Sunday - £2.69 on ham (YS), vegan pie (YS), cheese sandwich (YS), pasty (YS) and a big bag of crisps.
Weekly shop done today. £17.31 on 2 pasta ready meals, frozen peas, 1.5kg chips, 8 litres fizzy drink, 1 litre juice, 6 pints milk, fabric conditioner, shampoo, kitchen roll, 4 pack of beans, lettuce, 2 pasties, 2 baking potatoes, 4 bananas, 4 rolls and a big yoghurt.
We went to asda to get a few bits we couldn't get in aldi and spent another £7.26 on a loaf of bread (YS), bakery cookies (YS), corn on the cob (YS), a pretzel (YS), cheesecake (YS) and 8 litres fizzy drink.
Meal plan:
1. Burgers with chips and corn on the cob
2. Jacket potatoes, beans and cheese
3. Vegan kievs (YS) for me, pigs in blankets (YS) for OH, with chips
4. Quorn spaghetti bolognese
5. Pie, mash and peas
6. Chinese curry with leftover Quorn roast and egg fried rice
