Did some shopping in Morrisons and DH popped into Sainsbury's to get some veg which we'd forgotten. We now have £166.71 left of £250 budget so have spent a little ore than I would have liked by this time of the month but it should still be doable within budget. Bulk fund a little overspent by 32p so next month's budget will be reduced by that amount!

Spent £30.60 on 6th December and £50.36 today which is not bad. However we did have a lot leftover from Christmas. DH is not too keen on meat free dishes but I did make the chicken work for a 4th day by making up a chicken pasta dish.
writing everything down, meal planning and batch cooking is definately making me think more about what I spend. Thanks guys.
just one thing. Not very tech savvy. Don’t understand signature. Could someone explain please.

rtandon27 said:First grocery spend of the new year - £102.44 on weekly grocery delivery - this includes pantry items we have run out of (sugar & rolled oats), vitamins, non-food household items (soap, toothpaste & ibuprofen) and all of our normal food for the weekly shop. (OH's wine & the monthly delivery fee come out of separate funds.) Over the past couple of years we've fallen out of the habit of top-up shops & in-store shopping in general so fingers crossed, next spend should be in a week's time.

I bought a pack of local sausages and butter from the market today for £6. Two of these sausages will be tea tonight with one of the YS sweet potatoes I got yesterday (2 for 39p). I'll probably only eat half of the potato as they are big, and save the other half for tomorrow.

Still wading through the 2kg of sour cream picked up from Olio last week, having had stroganoff, fajitas, chili, nachos and adding it to literally everything I can think of, the tub still looks untouched 😂 currently eating it on top of freezer surprise (some type of curry!) and not sure if I will ever see the bottom of the tub. It’s like a duluxx 5l paint tub 😂
Hardly touched the budget this week with very small exceptions so clearly the liddl shop at the weekend did as expected. Will need milk tomorrow so will probably get that plus a few other bits today.Need to reverse meal plan for the weekend really to start dwindling down the freezer supplies. Off to do that nowFollow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

£40 added, spent at the butchers & Grape Tree this afternoon, on meat for the coming week & some nuts for the girls. There'll be more spent at the market tomorrow; I'll aim to keep it under £60. Last week I was offered - and snapped up - half a box of tomatoes for £1; we've had tomatoes every day since and I've just roasted the last of them tonight to pop into a soup or something tomorrow. Although they were beginning to soften when I got them, I kept them in the conservatory & not one has been thrown away. Money well-spent!Angie - GC Aug25: £207.73/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)6
