You don't add anything to a defence (except what is already in the template) as evidence goes later with the witness statemen (WS).  If you haven't submitted a SAR before, you can do so now and see what data they hold on you that might be useful for you at WS time.
The advice to append old strike out cases is from 2 years ago and no longer relevant, because that was appealed and 'strike out' with no hearing is considered over the top by a circuit Judge.
Good evening, Thank you both and i hope you had a Merry Christmas.
I have sent an SAR email tonight to the Data Protection Officer of NCP @ DataProtection@ncp.co.uk.
I am now also going to submit my defence tonight without appending anything just my draft and the remaining points from the template.
Then check for an email auto receipt from the CCBC in reply to your submission , because sending it is less than half of the battle !  It's proof of delivery you require , often not happening when the CCBC is closed ! The only time a defence is definitely received is when your defence is showing as registered on your MCOL claim history , so perhaps from Wednesday onwards

To be clear submission on a Sunday or bank holiday is never recommended , better to submit it at 09:01 on Wednesday 29th  , no exhibits are submitted with the defence , just the single PDF
Thank you Redx, i will print, scan and sign my defence this evening ready to be emailed to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk on wednesday right after 9am.

No need to go to all that trouble

Just scan a white piece of paper with your signature on it using a black ink pen , scan it or take a clear picture of it , append it to your defence document ( an electronic signature ) , then email it after 0900 on Wednesday
  • Good Morning Everyone, thank you for all your help i have just sent the defence over to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk at 9:01am but i have yet to receive any confirmation they have received or acknowledged it.

Is the next stage just waiting for a
    Directions Questionnaire (form N180)?
Will i receive this through the post or via email?

    Thanks in advance.

If you refer to 21 December at 2:05PM by @KeithP you will see a link that will take you to the NEWBIE sticky where you will find a step-by-step guide to what happens and when after you send your defence to CCBC.  You will note that the CCBC send your defence to the claimant who then has 28 days to inform the CCBC if they want to proceed or not.  At this point the CCBC will send you a DQ by post.  Keep checking your MCOL status page for the update.  Did you receive an auto-reply from CCBC?  Check spam/junk box for it.  How close are you to deadline?  If very close and you receive no notification or update later today, send it again mentioning that you sent it earlier.  However it is not unusual for the system to be slow in reacting to receipt of e-mail/defence especially after several days bank holiday.

You are following the 12 numbered steps by coupon mad

There is no excuse for simply waiting for something to happen , not yet anyway

You need proof of receipt of the defence , the email auto receipt

Then you need proof that the CCBC logged it on your claim history , so you login to MCOL and check

Then you check that the CCBC sent it to the claimant , by checking your claim history

Then you check your claim history for proof that they posted the N180 to you

Basically , you keep on top of matters by constant checking of your inbox folder and spam folder plus constantly checking your claim history every few days to ensure correct progress is happening

If this was you lodging a cheque into your bank , or an insurance claim for damage to your car , you would keep checking the progress , this is no different !

Sitting around waiting is not keeping on top of it , due diligence in ensuring that everything that should be happening over the next 2 months , is happening

Starting with finding the email auto receipt from the CCBC acknowledging receipt of your email , followed by it being logged over the next few days

People who sit around not checking tend to find a dog's breakfast that needs unpicking

People who do not follow the 12 numbered steps by coupon mad are the foolish ones , don't be one of them ! 🤔🤔👍👍🎁🎁

Let us know , never assume , check , check , check

The DQ will come in the post , but you will know because you will have checked MCOL and know it's in the post , prompting you to download the N180 PDF and fill it in and to email it , checking your inbox for yet another email auto receipt

Thanks Le_Kirk, i have sent it again just now at 10:10am mentioning i sent it earlier but did not receive the auto reply email. I have the MCOL page open and i have been refreshing it every 10 minutes and so far under claim history no updates as of yet:

A claim was issued against you on 24/11/2021

Your acknowledgment of service was submitted on 29/11/2021 at 16:35:01

Your acknowledgment of service was received on 30/11/2021 at 08:03:34

I am using gmail and i have checked all folders including all mail, spam, junk and no auto reply email from CCBC.

Does the CCBC only send me a DQ form once the other side has confirmed they would like to proceed or straight after i receive the auto reply email from them?

How long is the normal waiting time to receive a DQ form?

The deadline was today December 29th 4pm. I was advised its best to send it off this morning at 9:01am.

Hi Thanks Redx, I certainly don't want to seem i am just waiting around.
If after the 3rd attempt sending my defence to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk : who should i call to chase this up?
I will keep my MCOL page open on my phone and on my computer and will be refreshing it on a regular basis.
I will also keep an eye on my gmail and see if i receive the auto reply.

In the event that i never receive an auto reply from the CCBC by 4pm today. Will a default judgement be given and i have to pay the full 260.88?

If you read this thread , https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6320549/help-parking-vultures-court-claim-received#latest , the email auto receipt was received back within 2 minutes , they copied and pasted it , so you can see what should have happened , so you should have received it within a few minutes , check you used the correct ccbcaq email address as shown in the defence template post by coupon mad at the top of the forum in announcements ( NB , this one failed one week ago , as you can see by reading the discussion , so today's email was a follow up , meaning that they sat and waited , then queried the lack of progress yesterday , which is why it's been emailed again today ). If they had just waited for a letter , it could have been a CCJ letter !!

This one also just received the email auto receipt too

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6321467/vcs-dcbl-defence-help-required/p3

Pointless checking MCOL every 10 minutes , twice a day at say 1200 and 1700 is all that is required , it won't be done within the next ten minutes , possibly not for a few days

No , the claimant has to apply for judgment so cannot do so until 0900 tomorrow at the earliest

You would telephone their helpline number , pretty obvious !!  🤔🤔🤔🤔

Now you can see why I said what I said earlier , it ain't over until the large lady sings !!

Proof of receipt is what you require , same as in signed for post

Popping it in a letterbox and on its way is not proof of receipt and not proof it's been actioned either !

They don't make it easy !

Perhaps it's because you are using Gmail ? Or a spam filter is blocking it ? Could be your fault seeing as I mentioned 2 threads where correct actions have occurred today ?

Perhaps their helpline is overwhelmed due to poor processing procedures by a government office ? Just a thought 😋😋
