I think the CCBC is operating on a 50% on, 50% off covid pattern. I bet there's far fewer than 50% in given that it's Christmas week when many will have booked the entire week off.

The receipt of your Defence will need to be logged manually, so given the above, it may be much later than you are expecting.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Update: I used my personal hotmail account to send the defence off and received the AUTO RESPONSE DO NOT REPLY - CCBC AQ Acknowledgment email instantaneously.

Edit: Would not recommend to anyone sending their defence off using a gmail account.

I presume the acknowledgement emails went into gmail junk each time?  I think gmail is infinitely better than hotmail but it does like putting emails into the junk folder.

Gmail does not work like a conventional email account like Hotmail or outlook  , which often causes confusion amongst users due to it using labels and not folders , you often find USA tech companies going off piste just to be different !

Some explanations are in this article

Suffice to say that spam filters and other filters can cause havoc , especially if using Gmail

Trust me , Gmail does not use folders , it's a common misconception that has caused much confusion over the years

NOTE that it states that it is technically impossible to create folders in Gmail

No, labels! but surely they are folders by any other name as they seem to do the same thing and can be nested!

Labels , Google sorts out emails by checking the labels , like a pharmacist with drugs , so emails could be allocated to the cough mixture shelf , or liquids shelf because it's a liquid , but so is paraffin !!  It's one of the most common complaints about Gmail and one reason that I don't use it

An email can exist under more than one label , so could be in the inbox plus the Tesco section , or redirected into the Tesco section on arrival , due to the label

Paraffin could exist in the inbox plus liquids plus flammable materials plus poisons !

If an email from Tesco arrives in the inbox with a Tesco label , you cannot move it to what you think is the Tesco folder , so it exists in 2 places , but remains in the inbox

Complicated innit ?  Numpties at Google messing with convention

It's so mind numbing that magazines like computeractive have explained it in numerous articles
