I recommend P'ming them on fb, they get back to me fairly promptly.0

I've tried to see if I could get anywhere via the login option on the Shell website over the last few days but the site seems essentially broken at the moment (and there's a message at the top about them trying to fix it).Arch1 -
I had the notification of their delay in sorting out the DD payments and suggesting I do a one-off payment; I think I'll just let them bill me.They asked for a meter reading yesterday, so I did one (I had done one a few weeks ago too).0

Hi, I keep getting e mail messages from Pure Planet asking me to make a payment of some £600 plus. I am now paying a direct debit to Shell. The on-line account for this states that I owe zero. At no time has Shell informed me that there is an outstanding balance on my account.
The messages from PP seem to be getting more threatening. Strangely, today they offered a discount if I paid before 20/2/22. I am confused as I thought that I would now be paying any moneys owing to Shell or the Liquidators for PP. As they no longer exist, surely they should now be chasing people using the PP logo and website. This seems like a scam, am I right? Has anyone else experienced the same issue?
Thanks,
John0 -

In case it helps anyone reading this thread I'll add that my issues with the Shell Energy website turned out to be due to the Bid Defender anti-virus software that I use, which I had to disable to be able to access the site and create my account.0 -

Do you have an idea of whether you might actually have owed PP £600 at the point they ceased trading? Did you cancel your DD to Pure Planet?0 -
I can login to my Shell Energy account and can see that my credit balance has been transferred across 👍
But, 👎, my last direct debit payment was all the way back in December. The Pure Planet DD is no longer active on my account (I haven’t cancelled it; I presume PP or SE have cancelled it), and I am still waiting for Shell Energy to set up a new direct debit. Also, I have yet to receive any bills from Shell.
Is this normal? Should I be doing anything? (Anything other than preparing to receive and pay an enormous bill!)0 -
