Sorry but I don’t think it’s right that my direct debit should be paid to a company that is in administration do you ?. Not when I am on a EDF tariff my direct debits should go to EDF.Do you think it’s fair that legally they have no set time to produce a final bill ? Some energy customers have waited up to 8 months for a final bill with companies holding their money .@ofgem needs to set a time limits on final bills .Energy customers shouldn’t have to put up with this.0

If you feel that strongly about it I suggest you write to your MP. Ofgem are a government agency and if you want things to change you'll have to convince the relevant minister (Kwasi Kwarteng and/or Greg Hands, I think).smileguy said:Sorry but I don’t think it’s right that my direct debit should be paid to a company that is in administration do you ?. Suppose the alternative would be your electric & gas supply stop from the moment your supplier goes into administration & you sign up with whoever you want, but you have no Electric or Gas for the 21 days it takes to change!smileguy said:Sorry but I don’t think it’s right that my direct debit should be paid to a company that is in administration do you ?. Having mulled over the OP's concerns, I'd just come back to suggest that if he didn't want to pay whilst the administration was resolved then surely the logical extension is that he doesn't want energy supplying during the administration.
Otherwise, the OP is simply asking "Why should I pay for my energy between a supplier going under and the new supplier getting everything resolved?"0 -
Just to add to the confusion, had my final bill from Utility yesterday, has charges from EDF from their take over included, but I am told that the final accounts have not yet been transferred?? Checking the individual monthly statements, the charge rate for both Gas and Daily rate has changed monthly, however I was on a Fixed Contract. Can anybody suggest how I can get this put right.
EDF tell me that they cannot do anything about this as it will be just an owed/credit amount that is transferred. I was told to wait until I get invoiced, rather than a statement? to speak to someone, the administrators phone is just recorded message and cuts off.:grouphug: Threewheeler0 -

Suggest all should check through the presented bills to see that correct amounts are charged on them:grouphug: Threewheeler0
