Well I braved the bad weather ,although it was dry when I set off, and worked out the two buses to get to Gravesend and back and 'Sucess' I snaffled some bars in the Farmfoods shop in the Thamesgate shopping centre. As it was bucketing down by the time I got there I bought them and exited swiftly and got a bus back to Chatham within five minutes so roughly around three and a bit hours and 4 buses altogether and the Dairy Crunch is sorted
One more little gift to go with a bottle of wine for my friend sorted. Just have to wrap them now. it was actually very nice on the buses as I've not been on one for about 3 years I think.
Daft really as I have a bus pass, but forget to use it. Saved me a good gallon of petrol today though so very 'eco' as well as money saving. The bus stop is within sight of my house as well.
Golly it was cold and wet though coming back down the road. But one more thing off my to-do list at leastIndoors with a big bowl of leek and potato soup and a soft brown roll for lunch, and the heating is definitely on in my house at the moment .

Glad you got the Dairy crunch sorted. DH and I often use the buses to get around since we got our bus passes. It definitely saves fuel and money so a win win!

We use our bus passes all the time. Saves petrol and parking. Having seen the traffic and road works in Canterbury on Saturday we certainly won't be driving into town anytime soon!4

The cynic in me wonders how much of that is by design. My nearest market town now is a pig to get to, and almost impossible to park in (if you discount the laughably expensive cost of the council car parks!) Said car parks are invariably majoratively empty, so I think their plan to force us onto public transport is working. The only free parking is the big Tescos, which is invariably full. Why does Sherlock Holmes love Mexican restaurants? Because they give him case ideas.5

Well, that was tea shopped from the fridge and sorting not healthy veg
Really need to give my head a wobble at the moment.
I have obtained some more bits of tupperware from my parents' house with the intention of making good use of and making food last longer.
Need to revisit the budget plan sheet too, to pull us back into line.
