Thanks for letting me join - even though I'm not a genuine DFW (last time I posted on this board got told off!)
So far so good - today and yesterday said no everyone who was nipping out to the shop and my OH even made lunch for me today while I made ready-brek!

Bought some chocolates in co-op but they are presents and won't be eaten by us so that's OK :)
  • How's everyone doing today?

There were no magazine temptations today so nothing to add to my savings.

Good luck with this challenge. My OH & i decided to stop buying newspapers when we hit our LBM in July, saving us over £26 a month, which goes straight towards clearing our massive debts. If we want to read a paper now we just go online or pick up the free Metro paper. We always make our own pack up for work so save alot there. A friend of mine decided to stop buying coffees from the machine at work, instead bringing in a flask, saving him £5 a week. He put the £5 a week away & after a year took his family away for a nice long weekend. Just cutting out a few small things in life really helps bump your finances up.

  • I did really well today...... I didn't spend any money oon food at work...... because it was my day off!!!! :) I will be making my sandwiches in the morning to take with me, like a good girl, because I am skint! and still two and a half weeks til payday!

I must admit, I haven't been saving the money I would normally have spent on food at work, as I couldn't afford it in the first place, but my acc balance is looking a little healthier because of this challenge!

  • I'm doing well, but I haven't been out lol so that made it slightly easier. I'm in hiding to attempt to avoid the lurgy that's going round as I fly back home on Saturday and I do not want to be sick. Tomorrow night is our end of term night out so I'll report back on Friday!
