I'm not going to buy any wine for a month! Doesn't sound too bad but I can spend £15-20 a week no probs! That means I can chuck £80 at my credit card...the dastardly, evil Alliance and Leicester!!:mad:Living a frugal retirement without treading on the planet :T

I've added you new peeps to the 1st post!
I've not bought the usual weekend papers. Am wondering if to include them as well as the magazines?
Lisa0 -
Yes, if it is something you would usually buy, then you can include it in the challenge.
I have done really well this weekend and not bought anything unnecessary while at work both days. Tomorrow will be harder because it is a long day and I will be out of the house for 12 hours but I am determined to make a pack up and take a flask of coffee.

When I come back here after Xmas (going home this week woo), I resolve not to buy any kebabs or drink booze when out, will stick to diet coke or water and I'm sure I'll feel much better for it!...I like my coffee black, just like my metal!

Yay! Resisted the glossies today! Was just 'browsing' them when waiting in the queue in Boots when I remembered this challenge. So proud of myself! Have started to readthe backlog of old ones I've got instead. I like this challenge!

ooooh I like the sound of this!!!
Can I join? Mine is not to spend any money on groceries apart from perishables ....so that means I should only be buying approx 1 loaf of bread, 3 pints of milk, small block of cheese each week....so....max £3 to £4?!?!
I know it sounds a bit drastic to not buy food!!!!, but I currently spend £30-£40 a week, and I have cupboards and cupboards of food, plus a third-full fridge, and a full-to-the-brim freezer. I think it's about time I started using what I've already got! Hopefully what I save (if i manage it!) will pay off the last niggling bit of my credit card that I just haven't been able to shake off (approx £140).0 -
I am tired this morning but need to make a packed lunch to take to work.
I will not take the easy option of the canteen........I won't........no, I won't
