I've realised I've been failing to track my additional Student Loan repayments in the way of savings...one of the reasons I've been saving less than planned is because of the 12% interest in September so I'm accelerating plans to pay it off so I dont get hit by that too much/at all.

Probably should at least be tracking the interest I'm saving by doing this but too late now. Need to remind myself of this when I'm behind target in December ;)
Hi Becky, I understand they've rescinded that and it's only going up to 7.3%

Still not great, but not so crazy! I never intend to pay mine off, so I'm not worried about it... hoping to go back to do a PhD so I'll keep stacking it up no doubt haha

Thanks I hadnt realised that. Although still a lot more than before and I am going to pay it off so at least I am saving interest this way (I worked out I'm saving about £1700 in interest with my overpayments!), compounding on these loans is awful :(

#5 reporting in for May. I managed to save £1,523 for this month (form updated) which means I am still on target for the year (41%). I also managed to add £450 to the repairs & replacements pot this time, but I expect some of it to be used up in the coming months by various planned works plus I have the car service, MOT and insurance.

#75 reporting in with £445.27 for May (form submitted).

Got my first dividend payouts, a grand total of £1.63!
@atti what are you doing with it? my S&S ISA used to be set to ACC(umulate) but some of the higher paying dividend funds are now set to INC(ome) - now we are retired. They quietly accumulate in a cash account for withdrawal or investment, and as a cash buffer so that monthly fees don't mean selling investments to cover the platform costs

I'll be leaving them in my account to either cover fees or get reinvested at some point.
