I've started adding 2022 into the Totaliser and noticed a few old faces haven't popped-up in 2022 yet - if you know any of the following I wonder if you could let them know where the new thread is please? I worry the latest MSE Forum design tends to bury our thread so new people can't easily find it.

Hi
I’m declaring at £739 for January.
I also found out that I had an unexpected pay rise so I’m going to increase my ISA contribution by £50 from next month, and of course I am excited about the additional pension contributions, every little helps!
I was lucky on the premium bonds and won £75 so I’m hoping for another nice amount this week and I cashed in my Prolific account as well.
I am also saving for a holiday so am excluding savings for that.

Mortgage Free - done

Not the greatest month, but it's a start:) Hoping next month will be better!November NSD's - 73 -
Unexpected addition of tax refund and a bit of husband's pension drawdown have been added so #14 reporting £6,471.27 this month. Epic, but it won't last.
DH is drawing down a DC pension over four years, as no longer working for a salary and no state pensions yet - and the first year was emergency taxed. Having submitted his tax return this month there was a tasty little refund dueSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

#4 reporting £1,940.18 for January. Didn’t have to withdraw anything this month as I’m still spending my Christmas money which helped as I did go over budget in a few areas but used that instead.4

£1950.13 for January - excellent start. Had a big birthday/Christmas gift of money which helped a lot there!
Decision in principle obtained from a bank, and feeling slightly hopeless when I'm looking at properties though - the ones that were within reach 6 months ago now have asking prices that have rocketed, and seem to be selling for way more than asking price. All I can do is keep plugging away at saving and keep looking, I guess.Start mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056

Reporting £1092 for January. Expenses this month included a staggering amount on petrol - probably all the Christmas running around to relatives I think. Plus a car's MOT and brakes needed doing. Also a big chunk on the credit card bill paying off our holiday costs in December. On the flip side of the coin - our gas/electricity supplier has gone bust so there is a month delay until the new supplier starts the DD...I don't even want to think about how much that is going to be, once the April price increases come through.
In other news - I'm within 18 months of FIRE now and the boss today agreed I can go down to 3 days pw for the final year of that. 4 day weekends, lovely. So all this saving is really paying off.
Good luck to everyone in meeting your 2022 savings target.Save 12k in 2013-2014-2015-2016-2017-2018-2019-2020-2021-2022 - then early-retired.7
