Afternoon all xLast day at the dance studio this year went well. I popped to Mr S in fancy dress in search of some pants for DS2. They only had 2 packs one age 2-3 and one 6-7. so I tried the men’s section only to find xxxl and xl. This is the 5th place I have tried. I wanted to buy in a shop so I could see the size.9

Green ticks have been added to my original post today.
I usually pull all the presents out onto my bed, sort into recipients and wrap a person at a time. This year I am wrapping at the kitchen table - much kinder on my back and knees - and I'm wrapping as they come out of the box. So I've also wrapped some of the presents for others on my list, but they won't be ticked until they're completed- if that makes sense.
Two loads of washing are draped on the airer.

Just a quick check in from me.
Bed made, clothes picked up
Windows open and closed again
WM done and now in TD
Presents that arrived yesterday and were bought this morning wrapped.

I've done some puzzling, some knitting, some telly watching and another dog walk. My cough seems to be shifting too, maybe the fresh air today has had an effect. Posted the letters to my friends.Spend less now, work less later.10

A very quick post from me - sorry I've been MIA, but I am playing big-time catch-up atm, after a horrendous week of broken nights and too many deadlines to meet.
Washing is up to date; FUPA is as up to date as it can be; the rest is still hanging on the airers and bathroom radiators
Bathroom is tidy
Kitchen has been S&S'd, dishwasher run and emptied, food prepped and cooked in bulk
Wool left over from this week's knitting (finished and delivered) has been put away
Icing ....ditto..............ditto..........18th cake................ditto...................ditto....................
Presents are sorted for everyone except DS1 and DGD1+2 (he still hasn't sent us their lists, and I have no idea what they might want) and laid out on the spare bed, to be wrapped next week
I've put together a service for Tuesday evening, the Longest Night
Rosie got her walk.
This evening I have to
- prepare a display for church tomorrow
- design and print some flyers which need to be delivered tomorrow
- send emails which are now a fortnight late, so will be much shorter than originally planned!
- cook tea, and eat it while watching the Strictly final
- finish writing Christmas cards - all the long distance ones were posted yesterday, but I have loads of local ones to deliver by hand.
I might manage to get my tree and the remaining lights up by Friday.
I sure haven't felt as overwhelmed as this in previous Christmases
Keep calm and carry on...10 -
Twinkle is tired after swimming but she was so pleased to get out of the house for the first time in 2 weeks!
I got back to 20 parcels which all fit in onebox.. Amazon are got very environmentally conscious with their packaging.
I need a very early night.

- lovely lake swim then coffee & cake with swim buddy
- did another flower arrangement, hopefully will deliver it tomorrow
- went for a walk round village, delivered last few local cards, snipping foliage as I went! Had distanced chat with 2 recipients which was nice.
- sorted all presents, one or two more things to find so planning a trip to local 'posh' farm shop on the edge of town on Monday; I want to look at the town centre knitted post box things and just enjoy the lights anyway. All existing presents wrapped.
- milk cancelled for Wed & Fri when we will be at Mum's (barring Covid)

Christmas Eve 4.30pm come home, lock the door and breathe 😊
Yesterday's list has been carried forwarded with all the ticked items deleted. If it's gone, it's done. And I've added a couple of tasks today that I missed yesterday. It looks long but doable- I'll just work my way through one job at a time 🙂
iona - I'm concerned that you're taking on too much and you'll make yourself ill. Please please, take time out to recharge your batteries.
That goes for everyone else too. We've lived in extra stressful times for nearly 2 years now. Whether it's engineered or nature I don't know....but it's a form of biological warfare and it'll be in the history books. And we're living it. And life was stressful before that - as humans we are not designed to live at this 21st century pace. So STOP. Take time out. Breathe. Better a happy and healthy flylady with egg and chips for Christmas Dinner, than a full blown roast dinner with bells on served by a burned out wreck of a flylady.
Here endeth today's lesson. Sorry. I'll put my soapbox away now.
Hugs for all ❤❤❤

Morning all
Round - thank you for that. You are quite right in all you say, and I raise my cuppa to you. I also echo your concerns about Iona - please take care my lovely xxx
Yesterday was a total day of sloth (the children are with grandparents); I sat on the bench in the lovely winter sun for a long time. It is foggy today and I want to make some Yorkshire puddings and a cake. Then a relative who I hardly see is taking me out for dinner tonight which I am looking forward to. I have a lady coming to collect a FB sale so that’s another £10 in the pot towards the chickens feed bill.
Hugs to all xxxx
