(((Hugs))) YL. I'm glad your DS is unscathed by the accident, GI. Well done on the singing Valli.Sorry I haven't been contributing. I'm doing as much as I can but feel shattered at the end of every day and still have a list as long as my arm of Urgent things that I haven't done. Yesterday I managed to get everything we need to make Christmas happen food-wise (bar the turkey and we get that from the farm on 23rd) so that's something I don't have to tackle when everyone else is fighting in the aisles over the sprouts. Belovéd has put all of the decs up other than the outside lights which I do. I still haven't written my own Christmas cards.Flying is sort of happening, but my office is knee deep in gibble and the desk is once again buried in paperwork I haven't tackled. I also almost lost it at the Foodbank yesterday. I think there's something in the air in the run up to this Christmas.Better is good enough.10

£100 to pay for swimming and £50 for next term.. but I will do that next week.

Afternoon
I have been to collect some lateral flow tests I had booked but the chemist didn’t have any. There were none for home delivery too. 🤔
Fancy dress outfit found for dance school tomorrow. I tried my brother in law’s elf costume on but it was too tight to dance in.
I have brought my and dancegran’s wheelie bins in. I have collected the instructions to her smart meters as it is showing an envelope sign.
Bathroom cleaned
Post office visited - DH has applied for his passport renewal and I paid for a postage shortage item. I’ve no idea what it is.

DH & I wanted to order some LFTs but the NHS site is coming up with “out of stock” ☹️ Seems like a countrywide shortage 😔 Oh well, seems like our Boxing Day visit to family will have to be cancelled. Also one of DH’s nieces (from different branch of the family) has tested positive. A huge shock as she has been extremely careful as she is immune compromised & has stuck to the original lockdown rules ☹️Be Kind. Stay Safe. Break the Chain. The ones from the chemist are the old ones which are pretty much useless according to recent reports, the new ones are much better.. no idea what the difference is though. The online ordered ones are much better.
If you have a child at college they can get some. I don't even bother.. I ordered some at chemist but haven't managed to get there with Twinkle being unwell.

Today went fairly well
- got up and showered
- organised 1 complete arrangement (in oasis in a basket), a bucketful of loose flowers and the bag I need for the lesson, put in car.
- got to church before the others, as planned, and had put the arrangement plus various garlands, cones and candles on a windowsill. Picked a bit more foliage from the churchyard and did one arrangement in a vase, ditto on another sill. Did a small one for a little shelf. Helped others decorate tree then rushed off to lesson.
- had a good if a little sad last lesson with workplace lady. She is keen that if/when she gets another job, she can have support from me again which is flattering and good as I have enjoyed working with her.
- managed to do a bit more of the 2nd 'tricky' reports. Had Zoom meeting with manager to discuss them. She fully agreed with both my opinions and diagnoses, so trickyman 1 report has been finalised and emailed. Trickyman 2 is partly done but goes to his place in my queue as I have a couple to finish before his. Started the next in line.
- texted swim buddy to establish we're both going for a dip in the lake tomorrow.
- ordered a new gasket for my ancient pressure cooker. I've cooked the Christmas pudding with the old naff one for the last few years, so if it doesn't arrive by Tuesday I'll make it as usual, just boil for longer.
- soaked oasis for front door decoration, had kept last year's star framework so will use that as it's quicker than a wreath.
- tidied a load of clothes in the bedroom.
- designed and printed a card for my mum's present: have got us tickets to see a certain Strictly professional finalist in April. Hope lockdown doesn't postpone it - we still have tickets postponed twice since 2020 for another Strictly couple's concert.
- BIL messaged to say he'd got a load of Christmas shopping; he works for Mr T and they give staff double discount this week so we gave him a list!
- cc paid
tomorrow is a little less scheduled; swim at 11am and the rest of the day more reports, flowers, taking local cards round, checking presents. Must say I have never before been able to completely focus on what comes next without worrying about what 10 things come next and next and next.......if that makes sense. Disappointed I spent time in WAC last night though.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -
Morning all. I've spent the whole week unwell and had to eventually give up on paid stuff yesterday. Covid tests are negative.
Hope you're all ok.
Planning to take things easy today but I'd like to get some fresh air with the dogs, maybe hoover through as it's not been done for days, wrap up the last of the Xmas presents and I have two letters to write to friends.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10
