Poor Twinkle, hope she is better tomorrow Pigpen. Is she prone to high temps? DS2 used to get a scarily high temperature whenever he was ill. The doctor once had to get another thermometer because she thought it was faulty.
Not a bad day, managed to get a lift to the work thing I was looking forward to. I am very stressed about the car, will ring the garage tomorrow. Luckily I can work from home.
Swished and swiped the kitchen units and appliances, hoovered and mopped floors. Made a potato bake for tea, ordered Christmas presents for Dad to give to Mum.
Supposed to be sunshine and 5 degrees tomorrow lunchtime but a bit windy, I might get out on the bike for an hour. Would be a good day to get some washing hung out.10 -
YL.. She is rarely ill bar sniffles and what have you but is VERY dramatic about it. Her temp has been over 38' since Sunday, it is a bit concerning because it refuses to come down. It was a bit lower this morning but is really high again now. She did have 3 pasta shells and 1 hotdog for dinner (hotdogs are her favourite so she is happy to eat them) That is probably the most she has eaten in one go all week. She isn't her smiley self but is a bit chattier and she said she feels a bit better. She is complaining about her arms and legs hurting but that might just be from sitting still all week. I have 4 thermometers for that reason.. so I can compare lol.. the forehead ones are absolute crap, I am yet to find one which actually works.
Ma'am.. ENJOY the peace and rest!!
Round.. if you need a colleague I can ship you a manbeast.. he is desperate for a new job.. he never argues and loves the rules and does as he is told.. utter rubbish in an interview.. the job he was just offered he had the interview in the room with me and I was giving him prompts lol
Christmas jumpers found for tomorrow.. and I ordered Dot a basset hound christmas tshirt .. she will possibly wear it forever!
6 loads of washing done and hung to dry.
Summer clothes shoved in a different drawer and a binbag sorted to go to DD1's for Miss Squizz..Bought Twinkle a couple of pairs of shoes in the Clarks sale. She only wears one style so she is super easy to buy for.Still not found the bits to go to my mothers *huff*
OH murdered Olaf of the fridge.
his list is not much shorter than it was this morning.. ggrrrr... tomorrow he is getting kicked a lot.

Having forgotten about the class elf this morning tomorrow they will find he has fashioned a hammock from a couple of face masks and is all cosy under a knitted blanket.
Though I says it as shouldn't I think the hammock idea is genius!

Evening all.
(((Hugs))) for poorly Twinkle x
(((Hugs))) for round x As the only one left who knows the ropes, I think you could ask for a rise!
I have flown through DH's room and the ensuite today, and made a thorough job of them, including WMx3 with all bedding, dressing gown, towels and bath mat. I also tidied and hoovered the LR and S&S'd the kitchen.
I went out early to deliver a birthday card to my old neighbour and post another to my BiL.
Rosie got her walk straight after lunch, then I sat with a cuppa and knitted for an hour or so - both of little goddaughter's mitts are made apart from the snowman hat and face, and I have started a similar pair for her brother.
Had a quick chat with their mum.
Did QHI (pillowcases)
Emptied, sorted and tidied the top cupboard in the kitchen whilst looking for cake boards. None there, nor with the icing sugar, so I've added them to my shopping list.
All gifts for DH, DD&co and DS2&co have arrived, but I still don't know what DS1&co want, so I emailed him last night to see if he is OK. In our family, no news is generally taken to be good news, but Covid has turned the world upside down so I was less confident. Fortunately he emailed me this evening and all is well, just manically busy as usual.
DH wasn't at all with it this morning and has napped on and off all day. Tomorrow, if he complains that he couldn't sleep, I shall suggest that he takes some exercise and stays awake. I have a piece of written work to do in the morning, so Flying will be minimal.
Wishing everyone a peaceful start to tomorrow xx9 -
WAC duty for me 🥺.
piggers - I wouldn't wish the job on your manbeast nor any other decent hooman at the moment. I'll be joining him throwing up in the mornings at this rate 🤢 I hope Twinkle is soon her usual happy self - bless her ❤
iona - I told the cockwombles that I wasn't prepared to be the team's troubleshooter when I'm paid the same as the others....and that was before L left, and T dropped her bombshell yesterday. One of the newbies said that everything is going to land on my shoulders....not if I can help it!! But it's so hard to watch my carefully nurtured 'baby' fall apart. And I'm sitting on my hands as if I correct all the mistakes being made the cockwombles will think their wonderful plan is a success. Although I did end up sorting two messes out yesterday which included being on the wrong end of an irate phone call - not happy? Me? Living the ******* dream, mate 😜.
Valli - photo please? The local rag online ran an article giving lots of 'elf' ideas. Some looked like seriously hard work to achieve...I'm glad he wasn't around when DS was little. Wherever did he come from?
Flying? I'll plump up the cushions in the WAC room. Custard creams and bourbons are in the barrel. Tea's in the pot.

Usual 5.40 wake up from DS so we’re watching PJ masks, deep joy...
Round I am SO sorry you are going through this. No job is worth sacrificing so much for. My inbox is always open and I am keeping you in my thoughts.
Lots to do today including chicken cleaning, laundry and wood chopping.
Love to all xx

Morning lovelies, it's Friday!
One of my lesson's was cancelled yesterday so I came home earlier and decided to start on the reports, OH was working late with an interview so I kept going and finished all the reports, such a relief, I was so tired I couldn't manage to make my hours for December add up correctly (only 13 so how hard could it be). Anyway up and going this morning, I've done my hours, printed the reports and am now off into the office to give everything in and sign all the necessary bits there.
Bed made, clothes picked up
DW sorted
Bins collected from around the house and out
To do today is packing for weekend at the other house with DDs, OH helping DD2 move on Saturday. We are all meeting up at the theatre tonight so really looking forward to that. Presents to wrap and a tree to sort although tree might wait until Monday as don't want to put pressure on myself unnecessarily.
Hugs to all, keep SMILING (even though I've just seen the cat wee on the decoration box, aaagh!)9 -
