Sorting parcels to post.. OH can be bossed to do those.. then I am starting the wrapping.. Anything not wrapped before next Friday is not getting done!

Squeak is painting her nutcracker, Twinkle is a bit better and happy with the ipad she hasn't asked for all week.. so I am embracing my free lap and arms and going to wrap!

Sorry you're having such a torrid time of it at work, Round.

I'm blitzing the place today, working from my timed listie.  It won't produce perfect results but it will produce a much cleaner house overall, which is the aim.

Just finished the sink, hob and oven racks.  I'd set aside an hour for all of that so I'm stopping and moving on to the fridge.  *shudder*

I am so done for wrapping today.. my back is agony! OH has gone off to the gym and I am supposed to be doing dinner.

Twinkle is asleep on the sofa, she doesn't look very comfy though.

OH got christmas boxes into the loft and emptied the recycling.

I need to find swimming and dance stuff for tomorrow.. Though Twinkle is not going however much she cries. She had a *bottom* accident earlier, I am NOT risking that in the pool.

Its the weekend - yay!! 😁
Paid stuff today consisted of making clay Christmas decorations & playing with the felt Christmas tree, followed by visiting the family day at a local charity garden project - lots of outdoor play in sand & mud! Picnic lunch followed by nap/quiet time. 
LR vac'd after work, and play table put away until next week. The plan this weekend is to tidy/clean downstairs & put up decs. Parkrun in the morning, then I will crack on. I also need to sort the kitchen as I did some knitting this evening  instead of doing that.

Echoing concerned comments Round.
I've been fairly pleased with my day.
- 1 load through DW and put away.
- 1 flower arrangement (1st of many) done for the friend we've just come back from visiting.
- 1 report finished and emailed.
- invoice and tax setup form emailed to uni of above student as I haven't worked for them before.
- Another report started. 1st of 5 left - until next week's 2 assessments.
- milk cancelled on web site as we're off to my mum's tomorrow.
- taught student in Harlow. Vast amounts of traffic. Dropped in to Mr T on the way home to get more flowers as the load I bought yesterday aren't as good condition as I'd hoped, and I need to make an arrangement tomorrow before we go as SILs present; we're meeting them for lunch on Monday.     Tried to avoid traffic on the way home by going a very long winded route.
- Which meant later than planned to meet friend this eve for music evening plus supper, but a nice relaxing time.
- Got home and dug out pretty box and liner I remembered which will form the basis of SILs arrangement. Must go down and put oasis in to soak.
- and will I continue with report writing tonight.......not keen.
- pushing out of my head the card I got yesterday from someone I used to teach with, saying how sad it was about a mutual friend whose funeral she was unable to go to.   Sadly the news of her demise hadn't reached me, in fact I only texted her a couple of days ago as I was concerned.  I used to teach with her in the 1980s then she was my manager working in community education for many years; we still kept in touch and used to meet a couple of times a year. I knew she had cancer op before lockdown, and looking back it seems the last email I had from her was at the end of 2020 hoping we could meet when she was a bit stronger/Covid less prevalent; can't remember if I had a Christmas card from her.  She lived with her brother who I don't know, so presumably I wasn't someone he thought to notify.  I'm not thinking about it as she was a big part of my history; it its day of high 1980s funding for adult education, our little community college was very well known and I'm surprised that even if I google her name, nothing is coming up.  Still it's a long time ago and she retired at least 5yrs ago. Sad.

Well I appear to be coming down with whatever small has.. (I think flu judging by the aching and the lack of snot and the amount of time it has lasted) I have a sore throat, Dot has a sore throat.. I do NOT have time for this..

knitting the last HP hat (I thought I had done all 6 but apparently I cannot count! I have the last scarf partially done too but I knit that at dance so I will need to finish that at home this week.. once the hat is done.

That is so sad Narco.. so many people have quietly slipped from our lives in the last 2 years.. it's so tragic. ((hugs))

Morning.

I've been in the WAC since 2.00, when DH called me.  He has been unwell for a couple of days (in addition to the ongoing effects of the shingles) and was experiencing chest pains.  A 999 call resulted (eventually - they were very busy tonight) in two young ladies entering his BR and carting him off to the horse piddle..... again.   He may be kept in...  If not, I will have to go and fetch him.

I have treated myself to early breakfast - coffee with toast and jam - and am about to continue with my written work.
WMx1 will need to be done at some point.
A friend is calling round to deliver a parcel at about 10.00
I have an appointment with the chiropodist at 12.30 and afterwards need to shop locally for various bits 
Rosie will expect her usual walk.
I will need to catch up on some sleep.
And it's Strictly this evening.

That's enough to fill my day.

Bed stripped and in WM, and I am up & dressed for parkrun. Crazy cat has just been chased off the dining table where the children's Christmas crafts are stacked! 🤦‍♀️ I need to sort that this weekend, amongst everything else!!

Another week seems to have dashed past me, and yet again I am playing weekend catchup. Typically I had a rubbish night’s sleep last night and been up early this morning, when twice in the week I have slept through the alarm clock, and had to dash out of the door to get to work on time. 

I need to Sort Christmas this weekend - one lot of cards posted yesterday (including the important flylady ones), a few more need to be written, and I need to knit, knit, knit. Just a hat and a pair of gloves, so it’s do-able. If DSiL shrug gets finished before (if) we see her, it will be a bonus. Need to tidy the spare room so that I can see what I need to wrap - thankfully very few presents this year.
For starters, I also need to:

HHI
