Hi all

Hope Twinkle is on the mend and Mr Iona is recovering.

A productive day here, have made the nut roast and cooked the red cabbage for the big day which will go in the freezer tomorrow.  Have hoovered around and we called at Li@l when we picked up the courtesy car from the garage.  This is a new car with all sorts of fancy buttons and switches, and no proper handbrake.  I am going to be stressing about driving it on Monday.

Have also updated my spreadsheets and done the December budget.  We have a plan and a budget for a new car if we need it.  I need to keep a close eye on spending over the next few weeks, although all it doesnt look like will be going far.

Twinkle is feeling much better, she even ate some food and then she ASKED for a yoghurt.. so she got one before she changed her mind. She did cough until she vomited again.

Dot however has a rising temp and I have a very very sore throat and massively swollen adenoids, I hate those things. I have run out of cold/flu meds and calpol.. OH is being sent every open shop on Monday because the stupid rules only allow 2 paracetamol/ibuprofen things and currently 4 of us are unwell.. this is not fun. I am hoping Dot doesn't miss the last week of school with the christmas party and other fun things.

Parcels all posted and OH took a very reluctant Dot to get her glasses fixed.. I will wait until New Year and say she has lost them because she really needs a second pair.. it is utterly ridiculous that children only get 1 pair of glasses. She can see about 2ft without her glasses, she is part mole!

Cats have had their 5th meal of the day..

Oooh... The girls need to write christmas cards for school friends tomorrow.. I best put them out otherwise I will forget because I am a twit.
I have been very dutiful and bought the requested items for the school parties too. Quite unlike myself!

Finished knitting the HP hat but it seems smaller than the others somehow despite being the same number of rows.. I don't get it..

Just the last Slytherin scarf to finish and I can finish the Dr Who scarf, I hope to get that done by christmas.

Today's plan did not include 'get up at 20 to 9' but heyho, it is what it is. 😊

I seem to have mislaid a post- I definitely posted  yesterday teatime to say list completed and going to read a book until Strictly starts... but it's gone. Heyho. Today is a new day 🙂

I'm up, my bed is made and I've opened the windows upstairs. Brew 1 is being savoured. Truly savoured. 

I'm still feeling spoon deplete so another 'paced' day is needed. 4 more weeks at work then I have a week off booked....bit of a mute point when you're getting through the paid stuff 30 minutes at a time but still a light at the end of the tunnel. 🔦 

To do today:
Shower and wash hair 
Get dressed 
Feed the birds 
Put out the recycling 
Laundry shuffle 
WUDUPA 

Wrap 5 presents
Check and file bank statement 
Plan hand delivery of cards- it's like a military campaign, but if it helps my sanity  so be it 😉 

Order DB the eau de watsit that he said he liked
Make a note to buy beer for niece's husband when I go to Co-op tomorrow

Piggers if you can get OH to go to a boots you can get 96 ibrupofen, in one packet, for under a tenner. This might help you hon xxx

Morning all, it's considerably warmer after the last few days. What is happening with our weather 😣

Just waved DH off to be Santa again for the day. Going to have a cuppa and some late breakfast..I keep opening my jam advent calendar and the little pots of jam are building up now, so I had better use them I suppose..lol

Have my list to do today so I'm keeping fingers crossed that I can keep the IBS pains at a minimum.  I'm really enjoying the green ticks on my list - thanks for that tip Round honey. Not sure how much I'll get done as I was supposed to spread it out over two days now it's one day..lol

Any spare slinky vibes much needed in return - how am I still managing to put weight on every week?? The scales are protesting…
Having been wide awake at 5am, I obviously went back to sleep some time after 6.30, and now I’m running an hour behind. This morning I have to empty the dw, QHI, sort out a couple of orders (Mr M, seeds for the allotment, etc), stitch up the finished knitted gloves, make / start the last hat. 

That should be enough to keep me going, at least until DH puts a spanner in the works and comes up with a random “urgent” job for me!

Morning all.  I've skim read and hope you're all ok and any germs disappear soon.
 I haven't posted for a few days. We had MIL staying then DGD1.  Peace reigns again today and we're getting the house straightened.
Today, I have done the dailies, s&sd the bathroom, hoovered through and walked the dogs.  Littleydog is now allowed one short walk each day.
