Coping vibes for all who need them. My day has been much as usual:
- quick tidy of lounge and got resources ready for private assessment
- Went gym swimming and had coffee with gym buddies
- did assessment
- continued writing another report which hopefully I'll finish today - which means I've got exactly the same number left as I did yesterday, having done today's assessment. Treacle, wading through.
- wrote a few more cards.
- must set up cc payment this eve.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -
Paid stuff today - toddler group with a visit from the party pets lady. I enjoyed that, and the kids thought it was okay too 😂
Did some Christmas craft involving oodles of pva glue before lunch. I have lots of kids stuff on the dining table which needs sorting!
After work I cleared & dusted about 4 shelves in the LR. I will finish them tomorrow in readiness for Xmas decs. I am not sure our tree will survive very long with just 1 crazy kitty, let alone 3! I took the tree down the day after boxing day last year because it was such a mess!! He was only 4 months old & he is 3 times the size now 😱 When you add 2 toddlers & 2 pre-schoolers into the mix I think the tree is doomed! 🤣
Paid stuff again tomorrow & I have a video call booked in for after lunch as well during nap time - oh joy!
Hugs, sticks & spoons to those that need them and I hope the storm hasn't caused too much mayhem. I am especially thinking of HB & Dizzy!
Well done Round! You are smashing it this week 😁
night night all!

Morning lovelies, here's to a new day. A cold start here as pellett stove didn't come on this morning, sorted and on now but house isn't yet cozy. But I'm up and dressed. Kitchen put to bed last night so it was nice to come down to this morning. OH home for lunch so no pack ups to make this morning. No excuse really not to get on with the admin that is spread all over the dining room table. It's also the warmest place and has a nice view on the garden.
Bed made, clothes picked up
DW sorted
Kettled has just boiled so time for coffee, you're welcome to join me.10 -
Morning all xx
Thank you for all your encouraging words. ❤
I hope everyone is safe and warm - still blowing a hoolie out there by the sound of it.
I'm up, made my bed, washed and dressed, packed my lunch, eaten breakfast and texted DSil to wish her a happy birthday.
Today:
Feed the birds
Put out the recycling
Put neighbour's post through their letterbox!
Might as well deliver their Christmas card at the same time 😊
Paid stuff
Tonight:
Put bins out
Wrap Lo's birthday present
Have a good day

Well there appears to be a 'rona outbreak at school... one of the staff has 3 children in the school and her husband works in the nursery.. I dread to think how many assymptomatic germ spreaders there currently are.. I'd rather not die but if I do then .. Meh.. What can you do! Twinkle is still really poorly but her temp has come down a fair bit from yesterday. I wonder if she can eat more than ice lollies and yoghurt today!
OH has been offered a customer services job starting Mid-January working from home too so that might be better.. its a lot more on an hourly rate and he is terrified but that's fine, he has been shoved out of his comfort zone before and survived. Hopefully Screwfix will get back to him he was most excited about that job.
OH has cleaned behind the TV.

Morning (just!)
Pigpen, it's good to hear that Twinkle is not as feverish as she was yesterday x and even better to hear that your OH has been offered one job and has hopes of another. Our Scrwfx branch has lovely happy salespeople - it is clearly a good company to work for.
I was woken at 5.30 by the smell of stewed pork, which I had left in the SC overnight! That's our late lunch or early evening meal catered for.
I am pleased to report that the bathroom, study, my bedroom, landing and stairs as far down as the half-landing are all clean and tidy (well, apart from a few papers on the bed and top of the c-o-d in the study, but that's all WIP) so I'm more than on track with one room per day
I received yet another email (the third, I think) from a church supplier saying that we still hadn't paid an invoice for goods ordered in June, and have fired off a suitable response. DH suggested that I should have put a H&S warning in the subject line - "Put on goggles and an asbestos suit before opening." I am now awaiting a grovelling apology.
DH is feeling a bit better today and made me breakfast and 11o'clock coffeeAs soon as I've drunk my coffee I shall be off to shop locally for food and various oddments, including an 18th birthday card and a new broom and/or mop.
See you later, folks. (((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed xxx
Oh, and well done round - you've been an inspiration this week x9 -
Iona.. Twinkle looks a bit brighter but she isn't eating still. She asked for hotdogs and hasn't had even a nibble. one her second mug of hot chocolate though.. figured the milk and sugar will keep her going for a bit.
Squeak fed. she is working through some maths work sheets and I will set her free and stick a book in her hand.
Stupid cat just broke a glass.

Afternoon ladies,
Natty hun thanks for your email, I will reply later xx
Not much flying to report here as I have been busy doing my budget for 2022, so will head over to the frugal thread shortly. Log chap hasn't turned up today which isn't fun as I have no wood left! Thankfully I hadn't paid him.
Roast chicken is in the SC and will be browned in the oven later for dinner. I am hoping we get some wintry sun later this week, it doesn't really seem to get light much!
Love to all xx11
