#90 reporting my regular overpayment of £499 for July.

My 10% allowance renewed just over a week ago and it's £6287. To reach my overpayment target of 14k I would have to pay a 1% fee on just over £1000. So it would cost me a tenner but I would have a satisfaction of reaching my target...decisions, decisions.

For the past couple of months we were renovating bedrooms, still have upstairs bathroom to do but it's going to cost around 6k and would eat up a lot of savings so I'm trying to push myself to live with the current bathroom for another year. I would love to have our house all looking lovely but reading this thread makes me think that mortgage freedom is actually more important to me than a beautiful bathroom.

    Have a lovely weekend everyone!

  • Hi all

My fixed rate deal has now ended and the shortest deal my lender offers is 2 years.  I want my mortgage gone before that so decided to put nearly all my savings to an O/P as I can overpay without penalty now I'm not on any deal.  I've been working loads extra with additional jobs and made the O/P below.

    #81 O/P for July £7500
