Making A Living From E-Bay- Can It Be Done?
Comments

It's quality not quantity.
I bought an e-book from eBay with reseller rights, sold it for 99p a go and made over £500 in 3 weeks.
If people are going to buy it then there will always be people selling it.
What you sell will determine if it's hard or not, for me selling an e-book was only listing the item on "buy it now", receiving payment by paypal and then e-mailing the e-book to the bidder, took less than 2 minutes per buyer.
Good luck to people who make a living from eBay, if it makes them happy, they make enough for them to be happy and comfortable then good luck to them.:wave: Smile, you only get one life, LIVE IT.0 -

I know a 16yr old lad who must make £700+ a month (probably more but i dnt wana overestimate) outside of school etc, not bad for a young lad.
Oh wow, I used to only earn £700 a month working 4-5 nights in a supermarket for a few years, I worked bloody hard for that money and I thought it was a nice amount at the time. I'd never go back to that now thanks to ebay.0 -

I'm certainly not jealous of the guy. Claiming it is easy is such an understatement. It involves a great deal of hard work, long hours and dedication. Money doesn't come easy.
I agree there but I saved very hard from my horrible job, but now all that is paying off because now I have some very nice money to put into my ebay stock. :T0 -

I think there are many that would dispute that. Have a good read of this forum over the past few eeeks, there are several threads about how people are finding it more and more difficult to compete on ebay due to the competition. Most of us on this forum are sellers, I make a nice bit of money but it isn't easy and I take my fair share of losses as well.
No one is disputing it can be done. However finding that one elusive line of products that no one else can get and undercut you with is the real problem.

I myself made £60 in 7days. Not anywhere near £30,000 but if i wanted to put more of my money in to my venture, i could rake out much more. Bearing in mind im at college and have a job thats not bad.
David poeple are just jealous. i know for a fact its easier than it looks, you just need a bit of money to put in, or to land urself material to sell.
Well done to you

Underage Users
To become a member of eBay, individuals must be at least 18 years of age.
Breaches of this policy may result in a range of actions, including:
* Listing cancellation
* Limits on account privileges
* Account suspension
* Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings
* Loss of PowerSeller status
If you believe another member is underage, please report their user ID using the Report link below and include any relevant information. If you have an email from the member, please be sure to include a copy with the full header included.
Why does eBay have this policy?
When eBay members agree to buy or sell items, they are entering into contracts with each other. Throughout most of the world, individuals under the age of 18 are not allowed to enter such contracts. For that reason, eBay does not allow individuals to register as members until they reach the age of 18.My TV is broken!

At least you're not masking the fact that it isn't as easy as some would like to suggest.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

I don't worry about people undercutting me as I have found that the cheapest does not always sell first. I put my prices at a very competitive rate and offer a great service to customers. If you take a lovely picture and sell the item well in the ad, thats more than most sellers will do and people will pick you to buy from.0 -

No its never been easy but to be honest I love the challange of starting with almost nothing which I did and people putting me down (that was tough). I never cared what others say but I won't stand for people getting jealous of me (if I got rich) because they could do it if they wanted with the right moneysaving. It just comes down to believing in yourself not listening to others.0 -
The bottom line is... if you trade with someone who's underage (don't care if it's you or your friend) your contract with them is null and void.
At the end of the day if you don't get your goods they could tell you to go forth and procreate... and you there wouldn't be a whole lot you could do about it, because your contract DOESN'T EXIST.
Seems like an extremely sensible rule to have.My TV is broken!
