I remember Hooch (what were we thinking?) but not the others 🤣
Today has been a quiet day - my get up and go has got up and gone. After much huffing and trauma earlier in the week the HT has finished his assignment and handed it in a day before it was due to be submitted.
I found a home for the odds and ends of yarn that were left over when I finished the springfrost blanket - a lady on our local free page was asking if anyone had any bits for her mum who was knitting little flowers. A perfect match and better than having them sitting here in a bag doing nothing. My sister's friend was delighted with the shawl that I made for my sister to give her as a birthday present so that was good to know. I am now making "duck with a frog hat" number two just for fun.
Take care all of you 😊4 -
@CRANKY40 if your HT only income is his PIP he might qualify for a HC2 - I’d been paying for a monthly prepayment for my DS for a year when I found out and applied,Sealed pot challenge 822

Thanks @dawnybabes but his PIP isn't all - he had his inheritance from his grandma that made his tatty little mates think that he was one of the Rothschilds. It isn't life changing but it takes him off the "low income" thing.
I seem to have missed a couple of days posting. At the beginning of the week the HT's life was over because he had a programming assignment for uni. It was due on Friday and it was going to take up his whole week off. He worked on it Monday and Tuesday with messages flying backwards and forwards between him and his uni friends. On Wednesday he took the day off for the dentist and some gaming. He finished and submitted it on Thursday morning.....his life is now back on track apparently.
I gave him the duck with the frog hat for emotional support and made another duck with a bear hat. Friday afternoon I went to friend's house and I went yesterday too so that we could get all the things that he's cut down into either the compost heap or the garden collection bins while it was sunny.
Today I need to clean downstairs, make bread and fill up one of the cake tins while I'm in the mood. I'm only just getting in the mood so I'll mend the HT's fake oodie thing first which has a hole in the sleeve.
Take care all of you 😊5 -
Glad HT's life isn't over 😂
Duck with frog hat and duck with bear hat sound adorable2 -
Oh dear, I do remember the pressure of uni assignments, despite it being decades ago. Being an insomniac came in useful then, as I often got up at 3am & worked on them then.

Glad to hear that HT has been able to re-claim his life.
any chance of a photo of duck with a frog/bear hat? For some reason I can't seem to conjure up a picture in my mind's eye 🤣3 -
I'd also love to see a pic, they sound fabulous"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0

Here you go - one duck in a frog hat and one duck in a bear hat. @PennysIntoPounds the HT also said that they were adorable.
