I have just found your diary so a bit late to the party. I am so impressed with your weight loss and the way you tackled it. Glad the knee op went well.

Thank you @doingitanyway. If the carrot is big enough then the donkey is bound to follow or it will in my case. I just have to keep the weight off now to have the other knee done. The weather is on the change now though - I can tell by the way that all of my joints hurt so I'm going to have to keep a careful watch on what I eat.
As predicted I brought more beans home today. The way it's going I won't need any other veg this winter, I can have beans with every evening meal 🤣🤣🤣4 -
Same here with the beans, @CRANKY40 - all that rain seems to have really brought them into production.

So.....I start to prepare for winter and the weather decides that it's going to do summer or as the HT said "it rained all through the summer holidays but now the schools are back the sun is out".
I went grocery shopping and spent £82.38 which was £2.38 over the budget. It's doable as there was £10 left over from last month still in the pot. The HT is very hard to shop for when the weather is warm and he doesn't want hot food so there was extra ice cream, cheese, some sausage rolls and some crisps in that lot. I bought extra lunch stuff too as we went to bf's house so that he could help the HT order his laptop for uni and I took lunch with us as a thank you to bf. We didn't bring any more beans home with us but I'm fairly sure there will be more for me to collect tomorrow 😁
NSDs remain at 3 as I bought the HT a pizza cutter that is used with both hands - he can't press down hard enough on a pizza wheel for it to cut effectively. The road to independence from the mothership is lined with pizza 🤣
Time to crack on with my jobs list. Take care all of you 😊7 -
I agree about the weather. We visited one if our favourite places for a walk on Saturday & it was the first time we'd been this year! We didn't go out much in Spring while I was poorly & intended to make up for it over Summer. No such luck! Lots of planned outings endlessly postponed because of rain. I've told Mr F we will make up for it during Autumn.
It's defo been a good year for beans!
Good idea about the pizza cutter. It reminded me I intend to look for a garlic crusher & tin opener which are easier for my arthritic hands.

Anything which increases independence is good & that means for both of you.

I use scissors to cut pizza. Found a pizza cutter to be too awkward.5

We use scissors here too, DS can push the ends of his fingers up to almost 90 degrees …Sealed pot challenge 822
