    Hi folks

I'm preparing the document so it's ready to email across.  Is there any disadvantage in emailing it a few days ahead of the 28 December deadline?
There shouldn't be any disadvantage. The County Courts, including the Business Centre, are now closed until Wednesday 29th December.

However, we have seen in the past that an automatic email response may not be sent out of normal office hours.

I would suggest you do file your Defence when you are ready, but if you have not received an email receipt then re-send your Defence during the day next Wednesday.

Thank you. I'll get it emailed to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk this evening or tomorrow.

    Merry Christmas all
  • Hello all and best wishes for 2022.

I have received my SAR back.  They attached 3 pdfs and the following text:

We can confirm that your name and address details, along with details of the outstanding Charge, were passed to Debt Recovery Plus Ltd and Direct Collection Bailiffs Ltd who are our Collection Agents on the 24/03/2017 and 18/03/2020 respectively for the purposes of recovering the outstanding amount on the Charge.

The 3 pdfs are copies of 3 letters they sent to me.  I certainly received more than 3 and so would have been from the above companies.  With this in mind, is it worth me doing a SAR to the other companies?

    Thanks all

So did you send your Defence to the CCBC on 24th December?

Did you receive an automatic email receipt?

Does your MCOL Claim History confirm the CCBC's receipt of your Defence?

    Hi

Yes I sent it on the 24th and received an automatic email receipt.

Received a letter from HM Courts & Tribunal (that's MCOL I believe) 29 December, confirming receipt of defence

I doubt it , I can't see them having anything useful , no matter how many letters were sent by them

The only one that matters is from the parking company , which you now have
  • Thank you

So now just a case of waiting I presume?

You should be following the 12 numbered steps by coupon mad , plus checking your claim history for posting of your N180 DQ , then carrying on with those steps , until they pass the parcel to your local nominated court , after which they do nothing
  • Hi all, I hope you're keeping well.  For reasons I won't bore you with, I've not been able to attend to this of late.

Having not received the Directions Questionnaire yet and with the claim status not showing the posting of this, should I push on and complete one or wait?

I haven't heard from the claimant either.  I'm sure I will however!

Thanks in advance and your help is much appreciated.

The CCBC sent you a letter on 29th December saying the Claimant had twenty eight days to consider your Defence.
What you don't know is when the CCBC sent a copy of your Defence to the Claimant.
It follows from that that it is not known when the Claimant has to respond to the CCBC.
Further, we don't know what delays there are in the CCBC that means they don't send you a DQ as promptly as you might like.
Can I suggest that you keep checking your MCOL Claim History and as soon as you see that the CCBC has sent a DQ to you, you are ready to download a DQ, complete it and fire it back to the CCBC, remembering to send a copy to the Claimant of course.
