Why did you email the solicitors ? , If you are at the defence stage of a court claim ? Doesn't make sense !

You were not meant to email the solicitors.  That's for pre-action LBC stage.

Obviously you have to do a defence because you have a claim.  No-one will remind you which is why @KeithP Told you how to do a defence and made your deadline clear.

  • Oh! I've misread!

I wrote that I am seeking debt advice but I deny any debt and the case must be put 'on hold' for not less than 30 days under the PAP for debt claims 2017.  And that I've submitted a SAR

Is it going to cause a problem?
  • Folks, I suffer with anxiety and depression.  I've gone into catastrophe mode and just need to check I've not gotten myself into trouble by emailing the solicitors. If I have, what do I need to do?

    Thank you.

We told you what to do. Defence.  Of course writing a wasted letter or email to the solicitor doesn't matter, if it did we'd have said.

They will reply telling you that they will not be placing the matter on hold ! Simple as that , you are not in trouble , you just did an unnecessary step , no Biggie ! Move on , get on with your Defence , like KeithP told you days ago 🤔🤔
  • Thank you both.

    Now for the defence

  • First draft for one of the adapted paragraphs from the defence template.

The Defendant parked at the retail park on an unremarkable day almost five years ago, so the Defendant's recollection is not fresh.
The Defendant recalls that the car park was free to those attending the stores at the retail park and the Defendant had attended the area to use the adjoining stores.
The Defendant presumed the parking could continue whilst using facilities on site.

Best to show us the paragraphs in the same style as the template numbered 2 & 3.  Also, if the "defendant's recollection is not fresh" in the first sentence, how come it has recovered sufficiently to remember it was free?
