The frustration is 18 months later it is still not resolved.

I’m not disputing that, MSE are as frustrated as the rest of us sadly.

But they are not updating this thread with the actions they are taking.

The perceived lack of communication and urgency is not helping the situation.

I used to work in the software industry. If a bug like this was left unfixed for this length of time I would have been fired.
Come on MSE some serious ar** kicking required.
Not just software industry, for most business sectors this would not be acceptable.
Certainly at pretty much every place I've worked, if a software supplier let bugs go unfixed for this length of time, penalty clauses would be invoked.

You clearly never worked in the public sector :)  When I worked for DWP we were a test site for new software.  We were told that the training package, which would be required for all staff before they started using the new software, had been checked and rechecked and was perfect.  On our first dayof training we discovered screens where it was necessary to enter zero instead of the letter O and vice versa!  The live system was full of bugs and when that was raised with the developers one actually said they hadn't been paid enough to do the job properly!!!

Sorry for the delay in replying. I've gathered details and screenshots and sent them to the developers. I'm told this should be fixed soon. I'm now pushing for a firmer timescale. I'll be back in touch once I have more.
