Rules for Online (& offline) Discount Vouchers (Edited Title)
Comments

Please remember that we, as board guides, are all acting in a voluntary capacity. We do our best to help people, point them in the right direction and generally try to help the MSE team keep things on track. We happily give up a lot of our spare time to be on here, because we want to be part of the site and feel valued in doing so.
I would repeat what wirm has just said, in that if Martin thinks we aren't doing our job, then we'd be more than happy to step down and let someone else take over.

[Board guides on Online (& offline) Discount Vouchers] are making the experience of moneysavingexpert pure hell. They keep posting the same post about the rules. It is like they have been given limited power and are abusing it to the detriment to all users. Plus, they seem to be competing against each other If I see another quote of the forum rules I will scream. All we want to do is post vouchers and use vouchers. Not be dictated too and edited by ***remarks removed by Board Guide***. Sorry for being rude it is just the frustration of the changing nature of the forum.
Examples are here:

I really can't see what your problem is
Martin's rules are clearly posted here in a sticky on the voucher board, the board guides are merely upholding them,
as you have your own site dedicated to voucher codes regardless of their origin, why are you so bothered about what you can and cannot post here ??I am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. Please note that Ambassadors are not moderators. Any posts you spot in breach of the Forum Rules should be reported via the report button, or by emailing forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.All views are my own and not the official line of MoneySavingExpert.0 -
The OP was wrong and lots of people have already said so,why is it necessary to continue this thread
he has his own voucher board (which I didn't know) so what...............lots of people on here have other boards etc.......0 -
I think that most of us are pretty annoyed that a Board Guide has been slagged off in public for doing exactly what they were asked to do.
If the subject had been one where the 'opinion' of a Board Guide was being called into question, then that would be slightly less annoying as I think opinion is a very subjective thing and therefore there is less of an obvious clear cut answer. Even then, there are ways to go about things and the OP's wasn't the nicest imo.
The thing is though, that the very thing the OP was not happy with, is the very thing that IS clear cut. Unfortunately though, it seemed that the OP preferred to blame the Board Guides for his/her (?) disatisfaction rather than accepting the rule as laid down by Martin.
That was very unfair and although I agree that perhaps it's time to draw a veil over this now, it's understandable that people (note - mostly Board Guides) want to voice their annoyance.
My guess about the 'own voucher board' thing is that he/she would have/should have their own rules for this site along the same lines as the ones that are required here, so they should have known the score. I think they were more concerned about having a moan about the BG's rather than anything else. (IMO)

I agree, but as you say annoyance has been voiced by several ..........no need to look for other points IMO,time to let it go ..................0 -
Yes I agree it's probably time to let it go as well now.
The point has been made and there's nothing to be gained by continuing to slate the OP.
