Re the car, if it is at all likely to break down because of what needs doing get it done now. It will cost a lot more to deal with a breakdown than a "drop the car off" type repair.Do their radiators actually need bleeding? I know some systems can have those issues if "messed with".3

You're very organised! I still need to do the dreaded present wrapping, hoping they'll be out at the weekend so we can do it together

Great progress SH! It’s so freeing when you do something that you’ve always wanted to do but a partner blocked it, even little things like overpay. My ex didn’t like foreign food and didn’t believe in tipping- so now I enjoy both 😁MFW 2021 #76 £5,145

I forget about things like bleeding - I'd occasionally persuade Ex to do it - but I now need to take this on. My radiators are original and about 20 years old - so I'm not sure how easy it would be for me to do. We've used the same plumber for a while so I will ask him to show me and tell me what I'm supposed to use to do it and ask his advice.lucielle said:You're very organised! My life admin keeps multiplying!!
Turns out that the switch I started and cancelled in September due to PE going bust - half went through despite me asking to revert to G***n before they went bust. 'They' messed up - and my electricity is with BG and my gas is with Sh3ll. BG have said they will treat it as an 'erroneous switch' to try and get it all to revert to G and then to Sh3ll. That way when the credit transfers over it should work out. Sh3ll who I rang first told me I was with PE - and didn't check the Gas bit... I need to ring Sh3ll back to resolve. I am unlikely to get a bill any time soon! However I need to be very disciplined and keep the £ to one side regardless.
I checked and my CC payments have reached the right place. Sant still haven't sent me new access codes so frustrated. Luckily I can use 3 other accounts with other providers insteadand because of the time of the month not too much £ is sat in that account. I did manage to check my balance before I got accidentally cut off for both my CC and bank account. A couple of my direct debits / recurring card payments don't appear to have transferred across - so I need to double check they aren't on my other accounts and then set up. I need to sort PP too as I have no linked account for that any longer. I also need to work out what I want to pay from which of my 4 accounts
so I can keep track of how well or not I am doing.
I still have over half a tank of fuel - although if I end up ferrying DS around due to the virus that could be the equivalent of a full tank over the pay period. I think I will fill up now - so that if I then have to refill again it might just stay in the £100 I allowed.
I got another legal bill today. Worse than I thought at over £250. Very sad. It should be the last one. I paid it on my CC2 with the 0%. I paid £200 off target CC1 to compensate - but will wait to see if there any progress on my energy bill before committing more yet! It's fast becoming a requirement rather than an option that I send that stuff back to Am**** as part of keeping my EF at the desired level. In theory I will do that tomorrow.
I signed up to a rewards programme linked to my phone that I've only just discovered. I got a £3 reduction in my bill next month to start me off. It all adds up.
My sis has asked me to pick up a FB bargain for my niece so off there next. Hope you are having fun!

Bills will settle down over the next few months.
Ask DS for petrol money if you're driving him places, it shouldn't fall to you to cover the 'kids' as they both earn.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Thanks Beanie and MF. The bills will settle and I shouldn't be so hard on myself either...
DD has given me £90 this month so that's an improvement, next month due to be £50 (last month was £0). She's buying most of her own food. It just cost me £38 for half a fuel tank - and that was only 218 miles (most of them hers) - as there were too many short journeys. I've let her know as part of 'sowing seeds.' With DS - He's skint and he had bought train tickets - it's just that wider family members raised concerns about him travelling home on public transport and the risk that then posed to the rest of us. One sis is going to take him to other family and then I'll pick him up from there. Problem is that's only half way home.
DS had his booster this week though and DD gets hers this weekend. Have to hope it's enough. I think all my side of the family that I am due to see - have had theirs where they are old enough to be eligible which is slightly reassuring. I've bought most of the ingredients for xmas dinner just in case though. Ex is taking DD out tomorrow and dropping the dog off for a bit. I feel I ought to tidy up but don't have the energy. I will put edible stuff out of the dog's reach though! Still need to get the xmas tree down. If Ex does end up coming in - may get him to help with that.
2 more days to work next week and then I'm done until the 4th. Can't wait!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Things should settle on the fuel front and perhaps try to budget an extra £5pm for Christmas running around next year.
- Even my shopper car eats petrol on short journeys or when I go through the gears, it's great on the mway.
That's a big improvement with DD, long may it continue.
