Made it through the work day. I had a really positive catch up with my boss - and explained the kind of scattergun list of tasks I have outstanding and therefore why it's hard to get them done. Also discussed options around delegating a few. I've taken a couple of steps to move some unwanted tasks on. Plenty of others left that float my boat more & are more strategic. I nipped to Mr As on my way home and between that and a mini trip to the C00p I got a few YS bargains (salad 10p, potatoes 20p, carrots 10p, sausages 46p, veg pack 25p, bread rolls 26p). Happy with those - also got (normal priced) rotisserie chicken ready cooked to make life easier, some more salad and some thin steak slices for another day and some milk. Money-wise I'm doing fine and I get my second P1p payment Tuesday which is exciting and continues to take the pressure off.
Now have a 4 day weekend. I've looked at the weather and think I'll aim for Monday for the beach as it's better weather here than my fave beach until then. I may try a local swim again. Just need to decide what to do with the rest of the weekend. I may target some NT places as only been to two so far since I took the membership which isn't enough for it to be worthwhile! Still not quite finished painting my bedroom as the paint smell was overwhelming (plus fatigue) - but hopefully by the end of my time off that room will be done. It has however given me the bug to want to do other rooms. It shows how much I've over-bought paint in the past though as I still have plenty left. I may even try selling some unused magnolia and some grey paint as I'm currently just using white...
I want to make myself at least take photos of things to sell this weekend - and then I can get them listed. I know that's a repeat (offender) on my to do list as I keep shelving it... But I need to free up space in my house, shed and garage by letting things go. That is one of my challenges in life though - letting things go.
I am blessed by a reasonable sized garden (better than the postage stamps you get with more recent new builds - although that brings its own challenges. Ideally I'd do a bit more in the garden too - although I have to confess I'm hoping my handyperson takes some of that on. I've found some ready mortar type mix in the shed so may try pulling it out and reading the instructions to see if it is still usable. I would need to buy a cement trowel but presumably it wouldn't then be too hard to put the tops on the brick wall. It would be amazing to get that job finished... I also could do with a tip run at some point... Need to be careful not to over-face myself but ticking off these irritants would make life that bit easier and nicer. I'll let you know I'm sure whether or not I end up tackling it or ducking it again!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Just booked a couple of nights away starting tomorrow. That way I can get organised today and do a few things - and then hopefully have a few days in the sun by a beach. Excited. P Inn so not too dear and you know what you're getting. I've gone to one with free parking too and decided not to book breakfast so I have max flexibility. I was tempted to book longer but I also have a strong pull towards home and like my own bed so I decided that 2 nights was plenty.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
