Lovely to hear about the planting, and your birthday adventures.3

Enjoy your meal. Perhaps trim one point off each meal / snack to 'pay back' what you've used.

The award meal was lovely but not the best from an SW perspective. Very tasty though. I was sat with 2 colleagues I liked and one of their partners and we all got on which was a relief. I was also pleased not to be on a bigger table as I worried I'd end up overwhelmed. It was extremely noisy but we were in a corner so as good as we were likely to get. My colleague was taking photos with a proper camera so I am hoping there will be some I like. I was really pleased as I had the perfect long dress to wear - with a slit in it and some decent sandals - and I didn't have to buy anything new. I had matching jewellery that included moons and stars and I was happy I looked as good as I could for now. I moisturised and thanked my skin - and painted my nails.
The vas***n* came yesterday and took my eyelid irritation down to a level that I was able to put eyeliner and mascara on and wear foundation - so that was a relief. I've bought some eye wipes that were recommended by a friend - will see how they work later. When I came home DD gave me my belated birthday card and gift. (She gave me a token gift last week).
I watched Martin's little update yesterday with RS. I was relieved that the loan is being turned into a grant double the size - and if I ever get p1p I may get an extra £150 which was good news. I am one of the people who has been offered a fixed rate tarrif by BG on my elec. (With Sh311 for the other). It would cost me around 20% more July, Aug, Sept but would still be cheaper if it is another 50% hit from Oct - but I'd be tied in until next June - or could pay £75 to come out of it early. Debating what to do and whether I should switch Gas and see if they will do it on that too.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Glad you had a nice meal

Glad the meal was lovely and that you were pleased with what you chose to wear too. I will gently and with love pull you up on your terminology around looking as “good as you could for now” though - I don’t believe you’d speak to a respected friend that way, would you, so maybe try not to use negative phrasing like that around your own body and appearance either? I’m sure you looked lovely, and particularly as it does come across how pleased you were with the dress/jewellery too! Most importantly though you enjoyed your evening.Glad your eyelid soreness has settled down too - any idea what’s caused it?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Thanks jwil and @EssexHebridean - You are right. I need to be kinder to myself. I embraced getting my photo taken - which was progress. My dress was gorgeous - best of all it only cost me £20 last summer - so now at about £10 per wear... I will leave a photo up briefly and delete in a few days.
