Just catching up, everything sounds like it's moving forward well. I hope you get some time to just relax and be
Just to echo, you have lots of friends on here and I hope we can support you xx"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -
@savingholmes so glad I found you! Not quite up to date with your diary yet but wanted to say that I'm a churchgoer; and divorced; and remarried in church by a vicar who was himself the product of a second marriage. Not always, but there's a dark underbelly in some churches about keeping destructive marriages together at all costs; and it's usually at the cost of the woman's health, identity and freedom of expression. There are many sorts of abuse; you're not obliged to stifle your voice to keep their fantasies intact. We are all here for you, rooting for you. Your ex and his misinformed supporters can enjoy painting him as the innocent victim if that supports their view of the world, faith and the place of women but as you so rightly say above, they do not have a vote. Religion doesn't oblige you to be miserable. Sorry if this is a rant but few things p*ss me off more than other people thinking they can tell you what to do; I start channelling Spartacus! Keep going, you're fab. Love Humdinger xx9

If I were closer I'd gladly do the woodwork, I found it relaxing and empowering at the same time.

Worked and done more life admin.
- Set up my 2 new bank accts and made sure there was money in each. When the full switch completes on the first acct - I will move additional £ to the second so it starts my clock ticking for the switch £ sooner! I've downloaded the app for both. Changed the pins on my new bank cards to ones I will remember!!
- Posted one form and a card.
- Downloaded the app for my new CC.
- I have lift off on the BB. I wasn't going mad yesterday - they just hadn't switched it over on time. Very proud that I managed to set it up without calling someone!! I'm still confused as to whether I need to keep a BT white box I have to go with my new one but either way it's working. I powered my booster on and off and that's now working. Hoping the speeds improve but not looking positive so far... but still in first hour.
- I will be billed this payday period for the BB - and they've given me the amount - problem is I can't remember which account I set it up on!! My main bank has locked me out of my account while one of the switches goes through - hence why I'm unsure.
- Apparently I can get 3% discount at Sh311 garages now I've registered for an app. Apparently the small print says selected... will need to check if my local garages are included.
- I've also officially declared I don't watch live tv. Apparently it's valid for 2 years and should hopefully stop me being chased...
- Having freezer surprise for tea. I think it's a curried soup. I also have a small bowl of spicy pasta I may have with cheese. I defrosted a YS custard doughnut earlier too so doing quite well (as long as we ignore the caramel chocolately goodness that came home with my milk from the c00p).
Still to do- Scan a form Monday and email to provider for life insurance.
- Activate CC - so I can get my £40 gift card.
- DD wants me to take her food shopping.
- Take dog for another walk. Walked her 2 miles yesterday - felt very virtuous.
- More decorating!!!
- Any tidying / decluttering

However - just for illustration - I need dog food. I still can't believe Ex sent the dog for 3 nights without any - well I can - but you know what I mean... I bought a small pack and some dent@xstix last time he dropped her off and doubled her stay just as he was supposed to pick her up but that's gone now. When I asked him about it last time - he said I should have just fed her the cat's food!!MovingForwards said:If I were closer I'd gladly do the woodwork, I found it relaxing and empowering at the same time.!! I can't kneel for long without pain so have to sit in a weird position and kind of bottom shuffle along like a toddler!! I need to clean them first too as they're rank. I'm getting more and more desperate for the room to be finished though - so may bob out in a bit and look for satinwood paint. I'm also considering painting the doors and drawers on the 1k3a FB units with blackboard paint and then perhaps using a bird with a crown stencil I bought on £tsy.

Cats and dogs have different nutrition requirements, they each have something the other has in very limited amounts. If ex offered you dog, would you agree?
I did the bottom shuffle when doing the skirting, sat on my footstool to do the units and stood on it to do the shelving part. Don't buy the A1DI stuff as it's naff, the replacement branded one I used was great.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.5 -

I’m with Moving Forwards, I like the paintwork. It’s like the treat job when you’ve done all the boring emulsioning. Also agree with the satinwood. We’ve bought Johnstone’s quick dry satin paint for years, dead easy, stays white, very satisfying.Debt Jan 2017 = £42kMay 2022 = £15k5
