The leather paint on the chairs is still looking ok…..I think it was just after Christmas I started them as the builders finished the kitchen and we put the decorations upin December. It was a bit of a rush getting ready for Christmas as I was still very much recovering. I couldn’t remember yesterday where I’d put the chair when we put the Christmas tree up….but after discussion today we must have kept it upstairs until after Christmas as we didn’t need it for visitors last year with lockdown 😏 It had been bugging me.
GAP……my diary would be a good remedy for sleepless night…..send you to sleep in an instance 😂😂😂January spends - £587.586 -
Thanks GAP, EH and Milann
I may paint my 'dining chairs' at some point too as I have accidental paint on them already LOL.
I am currently sitting in my newly painted room, on my topaz coloured chair. Definitely going to try mixing teal paint....
Still messing about with room contents so no finished pics yet. Really happy with the white. My engineered wood floor is looking really grubby though. Not sure how to resolve that although now the dog isn't going in and out that should help.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Today, I physically have to go into work for a big meeting. Being there reminds people I'm still working away even when at home. It's hard to make myself do - but will save me heating money and it's only a short commute. It will give me some social. On the life admin front - I can also scan in the life ins docs and email them off - saves a stamp!
I ran out of steam last night meaning neither the front room or my new study look the way they should. Like not going to open the front curtains today - messy -. I moved a unit - and dumped it's contents on a table, a chair and the floor. Looks like I've been burgled.
On the positive side, the colour of the painted chair is growing on me. It looks lovely against the white walls. Sitting in it last night though I could see the parts on the opposite wall I still needed to touch up. (Perfectionist - me - noooo).
I've put a few pounds back on - so want to get my weight under control - and start going back in the right direction. Too many treats and not enough exercise.
DD is being picked up and dropped off for work for December so that's an early xmas present in that it saves me fuel and means I don't start the week exhausted from a 100 mile round trip.
I bought a present for my Dad that my sis has already bought - so I tried to return it to the delivery guy - but have a feeling he couldn't work out what to do and I could have a dispute on my hands - as they sent me an email saying it was delivered. It also means I need to find something else to give my Dad.
I still need to resolve my will. I now have the DOB and addresses and full names I need. Tonight's job though or I'll never get to work! I'm less in a rush than I was - as apparently my original will still stands - just Ex can't inherit.
Now though I need to force myself to finish getting ready for work and get out the door.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Is it a Solicitor who’s advised you that about the will SH? Seems like slightly unusual advice. As a rule the advice is that your current will still stands, in the form it is written. *edit as section in italic is badly worded and should be ignored! That’ll teach me to post with a head full of cold!* 😬

Apologies, mine was worded badly, should have said that the advice is having a Will still in place that leaves things to your now ex can make life very messy for those inheriting should the worst happen. This does depend on the form it is drafted in I believe. I’ll see if I can edit my post and strike through the sentence with the incorrect inference.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Hope your day at work has gone well. Have you got time off over Christmas? My company closes for a few days so it's bliss not to go back to loads of emails.Looking forward to glimpses of your projects as you finish them5
