Very tired today. The cat woke me at 5am to go out... Not happy about that!
Cleaner comes today.Hope she doesn't run and hide when she sees my front room. I've used my newly decorated study the last few days as it's the only tranquil space in the house. All the other rooms need decluttering - and decisions made about things brought down from the loft a few weeks ago. I've deferred all of that...
DD is going away this weekend so while she's gone - I may start painting the lounge. I need to check how much paint I've still got. I've already filled in some holes. Hopefully, I will declutter as I go. I may have to leave the wall with the curtains on until someone is around as the crystal finial is stuck at one end - and we had to lift the whole lot to an angle to get the new curtain on when I changed it. DS is super tall so was able to help - so that bit may need to wait until his return - However that's very close to xmas...
Money is still going okay. My second switch completes Friday. Then I'll have to move some money around to ensure there's enough £ in the right place to pay my first mortgage payment next week. It goes out the day I get paid - but the bank likes to know it's going to be there the day before.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks @lucielle - yes busy, busy. Sent you a PM. Hope you are okay as the agent has got your home sorted.
Getting a Chinese takeaway tonight with DD. We wanted it at the weekend but they were on holiday so we had to wait.
My cleaner has worked miracles - I ended up paying her an extra hour but well worth it. She likes a challenge - and me and DD certainly give her one. My front room no longer looks burgled. Stuff still needs sorting but is in neat piles - and I can sit down again now! She loved what I'd done with the study and the chair too. She knows the before and after very well and couldn't get over how different the same space looks and feels now. I'm wondering about getting frosted light filtering privacy blinds - I don't want to lose the light or the garden views...
Have fun all! I got sent an email from my new mortgage company encouraging me to overpay. But I still haven't received any log in details... I did laugh though - I can do regular overpayments if I want as part of direct debit, or send a cheque but for anything else I'd have to ring up to make a payment!!! Why a cheque??? Feels like the middle ages!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Where is your mattress from? We need a new bed for the spare room. Got all organised and skipped the old one and now realised how long it takes to order a new one!5

However - I'm planning on paying any spare cash off my debt initially - although I may balance that with putting some funds into my pension. I am hoping to overpay by at least £20 a month as that would - over the 22 year term - take 6 months off my mortgage - meaning I was 73 rather than 73.5 when it finished LOL.

Hi Orangetoes went to B3ns0ns 4 B3ds. I think I had to wait just over 5 weeks so not horrific. 1k3@ is your best bet if you don't want to wait or FB.Orangetoes said:Where is your mattress from? Had the Chinese. It was yum. Got leftovers for tomorrow too.
I had a nice chat with a colleague over a video call today which was nice. I'm debating what to do with my evening. I normally go to a gym class tonight but my normal instructor isn't there so I am playiing hookey. Feels weird though - especially as my alarm just went off - saying go, go, go. I resisted...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Can you not get the mattress home yourself. They come shrink-wrapped to about a third of the normal size. They then bounce out like a cartoonAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks Lucielle. Spotted it.
I downloaded some anti-virus software. Apparently my details have been leaked / hacked at least 4 times via 4 different sites I've belonged to. I think only 1 every notified me. I think that they were all auto generated passwords but who knows? Most of mine are. I also forget my password so often I'm always changing them!! It suggests I download a password manager - it's probably a good idea... but I always think - what if you get hacked?? Makes me want to change my email address. Something to think about...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
