You would be better to phone Amazon and explain your predicament and maybe they will give you some vouchers in compensation for not sticking to their commitment. They may be able to cancel or advise you that you should refuse the parcel on attempted delivery

I see your point zoobloo. And I too had probs with amazon delivery before xmas. This past six months theyve been really slack with their delivery. They used to be spot on and always deliver stuff before the est delivery date. But of late Ive had to chase items up. I find they used royal mail too much, where they should have used home network. I got my DD a leapster for xmas, in a large box, worth nearlly £50 and they sent it royal mail standard and I got it well after EDD.
I would complain to them and although theyve refunded the postage Id want compo as you ordered with the expectation of gettting it next day otherwise might not have ordered. Worth a shot!

I`ve saved loads this Xmas due to this thread.I`m still waiting on 2 things but I new they wouldn`t be here for Xmas and i`ll use them for b`day presents.It would be great to keep this going throughout the year Amazon seem to do crazy reductions all year round and all of us have kids b`day presents to buy during the year.A big thank you to all posters who have saved me a fortune this Xmas!!!!

I love Amazon, try not to buy now unless I have reward vouchers in my account. I use lightspeed and valued opinions to get rewards for Amazon.
